Allegro MedSpa of Santa Rosa – A Nightmare for Consumers
Allegro MedSpa of Santa Rosa is a notorious medical spa that has received complaints for its terrible customer service. The place suffers from issues such as racist staff and lack of accountability.
Many people have complained about how the providers here have botched their procedures. Instead of fixing these issues, Dr. Canales and Dr. Furnas use unethical marketing tactics to dupe consumers.
In the following review, you’ll learn how this medspa is manipulating consumers in Santa Rosa and what its customers are saying:

Dr. Francisco Canales and Dr. Heather Furnas are the founders of Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa. They founded Medspa in 2006. Other notable people on this team are Eric Culbertson, Tiana McClure, and Wendy.
At first, Allegro Medspa seems like an attractive place. However, it has received too many complaints which the founders try to hide through paid articles. In the next section of this review, I have highlighted how Dr. Francisco Canales and Dr. Heather Furnas use unethical marketing tactics to deceive consumers:
Using Unethical Marketing Tactics to Deceive Consumers
As you’ll find out in this review, Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa has received numerous complaints for its lack of care and professionalism. However, instead of listening to the criticism and addressing those issues, they resort to a different tactic.
Dr. Canales and Dr. Furnas pay websites to write praises for their establishment.
Such articles allow Medspa to seem more reliable than it is. Furthermore, it distracts consumers from the hundreds of complaints Allegro Medspa has received over the last few years.
Moreover, because these articles are published on third-party websites, people think that the clinic is receiving genuine applause. In reality, it’s a paid blog article that any business can buy.
Why does Dr. Furnas resort to such unethical marketing tactics? Because Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa has received innumerable complaints. I’m sharing some of them below:
Allegro MedSpa of Santa Rosa Has Racist Staff Who Behaves Rudely
Emily tried out this medspa because her regular injector was booked for a month and she had a wedding to attend. She wanted to get lip filler and Botox. However, she adds that it was a huge mistake to come here.
On her first call, they put her on hold for a long time and then the person she talked to was quite rude as well. Emily highlights that she is Hispanic and speaks English well. Before she could even get two sentences in, the person asked her if she could transfer her to someone bilingual. Emily declined and said that she could understand the person fine.
However, she made a snotty noise and said that she was having a hard time understanding Emily. Emily ended up making an appointment with the nurse. She had a bad gut feeling about the place but proceeded anyway.
When she arrived they had her call them because of certain COVID precautions. She did but they put her on hold for 9 minutes.
Emily says that she knows the time because her phone was showing her the same.
She had arrived 3 minutes before the appointment’s time and called the place like they had told her to do. Finally, when someone came back to the phone they told her that they wouldn’t be able to see her because she is now late.
Emily was furious. She asked to talk to the manager who told her the same thing. Emily highlighted that if they hadn’t put her on hold for 9 minutes, she wouldn’t have been late at all. However, the manager said that Medspa has a strict policy on late arrivals hence they can’t help her.
At this point, Emily hung up and drove away. She points out that she will never come back to Allegro MedSpa of Santa Rosa. Luckily, she was able to get a different provider before the wedding.
What is a Red Flag?
A red flag serves as a signal or sign that there may be an underlying issue or danger associated with a company’s stock, financial statements, or news reports. These indicators can come in many forms and are often identified by analysts or investors as any notable undesirable trait.
Humiliated the Client Constantly, Called her Fat, and Other Insults
Denise shares that she has been dealing with a torn shoulder muscle and plantar fasciitis in both of her heels for the last 2 years. These issues have limited her mobility and so, she has gained 25 pounds.
Denise spent a lot of time researching CoolSculpting and its pricing. She scheduled an appointment with Allegro for 11 AM. She had to be out by 12:30 PM because she had to get back to Ukiah and get a cortisone shot in her right heel.
However, she didn’t get in until noon which limited her consultation. She wanted to know her options and get assistance in a jump start on her lower abdomen and love handles.
They quoted her $10,400 for 2 rounds of upper and lower abs and the handlebars. However, she didn’t have time to ask for a breakdown because it had already been 12:20 by the time she received the quotation.
The medspa told her that they would give her a call. Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa called her a day later and the physician’s recommendation was to get the whole procedure.
Denise primarily wanted help with her love handles because she was getting shots and had recently joined a gym. But the physician declined. Also, the physician humiliated Denise by calling her a “fat ass”, pinching her fat, and taking photos of the same.
Denise said that she started crying after receiving such horrible treatment from them. She wrote the review to tell others how this medspa is only interested in selling the most expensive procedures to its clients.
Denise doesn’t recommend Allegro Medspa and suggests going with someone else who treats its clients like human beings and not dollar signs.
Allegro MedSpa of Santa Rosa Has the Worst Customer Service
The above reviewer says that Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa has many issues. First, the place doesn’t pick up calls. Then, if you want to get botox treatment, you would have to buy packages and enroll in programs. Moreover, medspa asks you to install an app on your phone.
In the above reviewer’s case, the nurse put the Botox on her chin which made her mouth turn down at the corners. This affected her speech and eating. Also, the reviewer couldn’t smile in photos without looking like an emoji for months.
The reviewer doesn’t recommend this place and suggests going to a local medspa. Furthermore, she highlights that the customer service here is truly the worst.
Ruined a Tattoo, Gave a Significant Hole-like Scab, Didn’t Take Any Responsibility
Sarah has received Botox and laser hair removal here. After she purchased a package for laser hair removal on her underarms and bikini line, the provider doing the laser went on to the edge of her tattoo.
As a result, Sarah now has a deep hole-like scab that lasted for several weeks. She informed Allegro Medspa about this incident and they told her that someone would get back to her.
However, no one did.
On her next visit, Sarah told the provider what had happened and how no one had returned her call. She didn’t seem concerned at all and told her that she would cover it this time to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Sarah was shocked. She thought Medspa would try to fix the existing mistake. Instead, they shrugged it off as if nothing happened. They didn’t even offer to redo or remove the tattoo which they had ruined.
On her third visit, a different provider saw her. Sarah talked about the incident with her and the provider told her that someone would call her regarding the compensation. Again, no one called.
Sarah says that the hair removal is complete but it has now ruined her tattoo. Furthermore, it was appalling to see how no one took responsibility for this incident. Hence, she will take her business elsewhere.
Below is the picture Sarah shared along with her review:
Allegro MedSpa of Santa Rosa Takes No Responsibility for Its Actions
Cyndi had called this place to schedule an appointment. But they told her that she first had to visit their website and fill out an 8-page long form.
Also, she needed to sign an arbitration agreement. After doing all this, only then was she allowed to call the place and schedule an appointment.
Why do they need their clients to sign so many forms and paperwork? Because they don’t want to take any responsibility for their mistakes. Dr. Furnas of Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa doesn’t want to be held accountable for her services. They make you sign such paperwork so you can’t hold them legally responsible in case they botch the procedure.
A little paperwork makes sense but this is too much. Another shady doctor who uses this tactic is the Beverly Hills Concierge Doctor. He has received numerous complaints for botching procedures and permanently damaging his clients.
“They Discriminate Against Clients and Have the Worst Customer Service”
Parker had scheduled an appointment for botox treatment on April 26th. He confirmed the appointment through Medspa’s automated text system. When he reached Allegro Medspa’s satellite office in Novato, they told her that the nurse wasn’t available to do the injections.
He asked the front desk to solve the issue and they told her that there was nothing they could do.
Eventually, he called the Santa Rosa office and kept him on hold for 5 minutes. Finally, he got hold of the office manager who told him that the medspa had finally decided there was nothing they can do.
Parker was surprised. He had scheduled this appointment after having a consultation with this medspa months ago. Parker asked her why they didn’t tell him that they can’t accommodate him right then during the consultation. She didn’t answer his question.
Parker highlights that he had to drive back for hours in Friday afternoon traffic. He thinks they might have discriminated against him because he is a man. Also, the office manager lied to him multiple times by fabricating responses on the fly as she answered his questions.
Later, he checked the terms and conditions of the place. Parker discovered that Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa takes no responsibility for the procedures it performs. Certainly, that’s a bad sign.
After having such a terrible experience with this place, Parker doesn’t recommend this medspa.
“They Make You Sign an 8-Page Long Arbitration Contract Before Doing Anything”
Ellen had a consultation at Allegro Med Spa. She had decided to try out this place because the last dermatologist she saw had given her scarring through a botched laser hair removal.
Ellen points out that she didn’t pursue legal action against this certain dermatologist even though he had left her permanent scars.
At Allegro, they asked her to sign an 8-page long small-print arbitration contract before going into the consultation. Ellen points out that the contracts ensured that the facility had full legal and financial protection. However, the contract offered no such protection to the clients.
Essentially, if the medspa messes up horribly, no recovery would occur for the client. The client would have no access to a judge, court, or jury. If they injure you, there’s nothing you can do about it.
Ellen explained to them that she didn’t feel comfortable signing this paperwork. They asked her to leave immediately. Legally, they had the right to kick her out so they did.
Ellen shared this review because she thought everyone should know about this crucial information before they waste their time scheduling an appointment and driving to the place.
She says that if someone is willing to risk their face and pocketbook while knowing that the facility faces no such risk then they should certainly go ahead with their treatments. However, places like Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa are adept at ensuring they wouldn’t have to pay for their mistakes.
Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa Doesn’t Respect HIPPA Rights, Takes Your Pictures Forcibly
Marissa says that the leadership of Allegro is terrible. They violate HIPPA and don’t take any patients’ rights seriously. Marissa points out that you can hear the staff discussing patients in the reception area as well as outside the door as you wait.
They had told Marissa that their ‘Board of Directors’ on taking photos from the manager which feels at odds with the American Dermatological Association or the American Medical Board of Examiners.
Also, the place insists on taking pictures of its patients regardless of how small the procedure is. They don’t care if the patient clearly states that they don’t want the medspa to take their photos.
Marissa suspects that they do so for insurance purposes but that doesn’t justify forcibly taking sensitive pictures of anyone. She says that the place has no regard for its patients’ comfort or privacy. Marissa also points out that she has visited other medspas in the region and none of them behave like this.
Additional Allegro Medspa Reviews For You:
Conclusion
After going through the above complaints, it’s evident that Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa is not a reliable medical spa. They botch procedures, avoid taking any responsibility, and take your photos without consent.
Certainly, the place doesn’t respect its clients or value its business. It would be better for you to find a different medspa and avoid them altogether.
Also, taking photographs, prior to treatment is for the client AND the provider. It is the best method for comparing results.
The staff at Allegro Medspa of Santa Rosa is nice. They were friendly. But the doctor. UGHHH…he is the worst. He is a POS. That’s it. The only thing the owners care about is the money. And that’s evident by the poor recommendations they give you when discussing procedures. I would never go back to this place. Ever!!
Don’t go to Allegro Medspa! Their staff is just utterly terrible. They don’t talk to you like you’re a client. When I went there the staff was talking among themselves and completely ignoring me. I thought things would change after a while but nope they kept talking to each other and ignoring a potential client. Unprofessional and disgraceful. I left the place after waiting there for a while because I realized these people are not worth my money.
How you treat your potential clients says a lot about your customer service. You guys need to improve a lot. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
