Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Medical Center Tries to Bribe a Client for Posting a Complaint for Leaving a Scar on Him
Chris shares that he has had multiple laser hair removals at Amoderm. He says that if they offer you a package deal, reject it. In his experience, the package deal worked out to about $200 a session which lasted only for 15 minutes.
Crhis points out that the medspa claims you can buy a half hour of their services for $150. But he ended up paying double the price in his initial sessions.
Also, the staff roster and their quality is highly inconsistent. Some of the providers are skilled while some aren’t. Hence, you can’t expect to get the same results every time. Also, he highlights that the place struggles in keeping the good people around.
Furthermore, if the place burns you during a procedure, you shouldn’t expect any accountability from them. A provider gave Chris a 1.5 inch scar when he hit his tattoo with a laser. They didn’t take any responsibility for this mistake.
Chris also suggests setting a timer whenever you get a session here. He had bought an hour of hair removal but only got 40 minutes of service.
He says that he has a hard time believing this place received so many 5 star reviews. Chris, an adept reviewer with 100+ reviews under his belt, suspects the authenticity of this place’s positive reviews.
Also, when he posted this complaint on the Google page of AModerm Cosmetic and Wellness Medical Center, they contacted him. The place offered him a free session in exchange for taking this review down. However, he refused the offer because he wanted other consumers to know how this medspa operates.
Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Medical Center Makes the Client Wait for An Hour and 15 Minutes Then Rushes the Procedure
Athena says that Dr. Jafari overbooks herself so she could make a quick buck. She highlights that she has never dealt with such unprofessional people in her life.
Athena had arrived 15 minutes early because they requested her to so she could get one on one time with the doctor. Once she filled out the paperwork, she had to wait for an additional 15 minutes after the appointed time.
When she got in the room, 3 assistants came in and had her sign 3 different waivers so Dr. Jafari is free from any responsibility in case she botches the procedure.
Athena says that she had to wait for 45 minutes after her appointment’s time to see the doctor.
She let her know what she wanted and said that she would like to have a topical anesthetic applied. They told her that they don’t apply anesthetic for Botox. Athena says that she has had the procedure multiple times and each time, the provider had applied an anesthetic.
In response, the assistant simply rolled her eyes. Nonetheless, she applied the anesthetic.
An hour and 15 minutes passed but the doctor hadn’t arrived. Athena got frustrated with the wait. So, she walked out of the room and asked the front desk staff where the doctor was.
They told her that the doctor will see when she is ready. 5 minutes later, Dr. Jafari barged into the room, did 3 pokes on her forehead quickly and left.
The reviewer says that she had never seen such an unprofessional establishment which disregards its patients’ time, money and health. She suggests being wary of Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Medical Center.
However, Amoderm Medical Center charges high prices and performs poor procedures. If you complain, they may threaten legal action.
Botched $3300 Procedure, Left the Patient Look Bloated and Sick
The reviewer didn’t want to post her gripe online because Dr. Jafari had tried to solve the unevenness free of charge. But even after waiting for 2 weeks, the results were horrible. Not to mention, the reviewer had spent over $3300 for the procedure. So, she thought it was necessary to post a review online.
She shares that she was looking for a good doctor for injectables to contour her jawline and chin. The reviewer had done this before so she had an idea what to look for.
At first, she was impressed with this place as it had hundreds of reviews and an average rating of 5 stars. She decided to try out the place. The reviewer flew in from another city and her flight was delayed but the check in went fine.
She waited there for 3 hours to see Dr. Jafari. However, she knew she would have to face such a delay because she arrived late and Dr. Jafari was fully booked that day.
What bothered her was that Dr. Jafari never measured her face. She drew a few marks on her jaw to show her what they can achieve then a nurse put some numbing cream on her face and all the markings disappeared. The reviewer thought that Dr. Jafari would measure and redraw.
However, that didn’t happen.
Instead, Dr. Jafari came in with the injections, rushed in and out each time. She first did her right side. Then, while doing the reviewer’s left side, she made a comment on how bigger it was than her right side.
The reviewer suggested she do her chin but Dr. Jafari refused. She says that it was the first time a provider had refused to work on her chin but she went with it, trusting her professional opinion.
Jafari told the reviewer that she had to wait for 2 weeks and it would be perfect. Also, she had told her that her left side would no longer be swollen after 2 weeks and it would all be even.
The reviewer had noticed that Dr. Jafari had put more on her left side as it hurt more. She didn’t measure anything as well to ensure everything was even. The reviewer said that the unevenness was noticeable from the start.
Yet, she waited happily and flew back home. Things didn’t get better.
The lump on her left side had shifted to around her earlobe while her right side was fine. She was able to cover up the lump in public with a mask but it was embarrassing and depressing.
Some people asked her if she had put on weight on her face. She called Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Cosmetic Center and they agreed to fix the mistake at no extra charge.
When she got there, Dr. Jafari told her that she needed to add more to her right side. The reviewer told her that she didn’t want that because she didn’t want a wider face. Instead, she wanted Dr. Jafari to take some away from the left side of her jawline.
However, Dr. Jafari said that it wouldn’t work. The reviewer asked her to measure her face but she didn’t. Instead, she pulled up a “Before” picture of her and measured it on her computer. Then, she said that the reviewer’s face was uneven to begin with. The reviewer was baffled as Dr. Jafari should have checked for this before doing the procedure.
Instead of fixing the unevenness, she had only enhanced it because she failed to measure the face before doing the procedure. However, the reviewer trusted her opinion and let her add more to her right jawline.
But it didn’t fix the issue. It made the reviewer almost unrecognizable and people thought she was sick because she looked bloated. The reviewer says that now she will have to spend more money to fix this issue with another doctor. Later, she had a consultation with another provider who said that it was a botched job.
Update:
The reviewer had to update her review later because someone called her with an offer of $500 if she removed her review. She was baffled as she had spent $3300 for her nose and jawline.
The reviewer saw another provider to dissolve the filler but they refused. They recommended the reviewer to see the original provider as they would know where they injected it, otherwise it may take them several sessions to “shoot it in the dark”.
However, the reviewer had seen Dr. Jafari before and asked her to dissolve the filler. But she recommended her to get more.
The reviewer says she has no idea why she let Dr. Jafari add more filler to her face. She rushed the procedure both times.
Dr. Jafari is Cold, Unwelcoming and Overpriced
Diana had gone in for a consultation and was weirded out by the front desk staff of Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Medical Center. Also, one of the staff members was overly insistent that she had to pay in full or complete the Care Credit application before she could even schedule an appointment.
However, Diana says that she had already scheduled an appointment so this seemed quite odd. Then, she told another staff member that it’s fine if someone else takes her appointment then miraculously, her appointment got scheduled again.
In her experience this place seemed quite negative, pretentious and judgemental. She says that Dr. Jafari was also quite cold. She was brief and barely did anything besides take a quick glance at Diana’s leg. They had told her that the consultation must be completed that day so she drove there. But she didn’t expect the doctor to be so brief and careless.
Diana says that the entire visit didn’t feel right. Later, they responded to her complaint and gave several justifications.
First Update:
Diana updated her review and said that the doctor barely came in for 3 minutes and didn’t do anything which couldn’t be done over the phone. Also, she had told the staff before that she don’t have any credit history so getting the CareCredit denied wasn’t an issue.
The reviewer says that if she had an issue with CareCredit, she would have taken it up with them, not Amoderm.
She says that her review was specifically about her experience with this medspa, nothing else.
Second Update:
Diana had to post a second update to her review because Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Medical Center kept attacking her about her application to CareCredit.
The reviewer highlights that she doesn’t have a credit history so it didn’t matter if her application was denied. It was irrelevant to her review. Also, she told the medspa to stop giving her generic replies that are filled with legal jargon. She felt as if she was responding to an automated machine.
Diana says that when you’re having such a procedure, it feels better to talk to a human and get proper responses instead of automated technical ones.
Also, this place took her driver’s license and made a copy even though Diana was only there for a consultation. This made her uncomfortable.
Diana says that she has gone to other places for consultation and none of them asked her for her driver’s license. So this seemed odd. Also, she says that the prices of Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Medical Center are highly inflated.
She highlights that Dr. Jafari was quite cold and unwelcoming when she saw Diana. Even her responses were brief and she was unwilling to go into detail about anything.
The front desk staff kept whispering and talking while Diana was waiting at the reception. They didn’t notice her until she finally got up and walked over to the counter.
She highlighted all this because Dr. Jafari claimed in her responses that she cares about her clients. In Diana’s experience, she clearly doesn’t care about anyone.
Jafari Botches a Botox Procedure, Deceives the Client Into Removing Her Review
In this reviewer Mahin highlights the behavior of Dr. Jafari during her consultation for laser rejuvenation was quite cold. She says that Dr. Jafari is an egoist and it reflects in her behavior. Also, she is quite negative which made the reviewer speechless.
The consultation was free so Mahin felt bad. The terrible attitude of Dr. Jafari didn’t help either.
The reviewer asked the assistant if the doctor could do some botox injections and she did. Then, she asked the assistant for a mirror but the doctor arrived.
Mahin says that she usually gets 25-30 units but Dr. Jafari suggested getting at least 44 units. The reviewer didn’t question it. After the procedure, Jafari left the room immediately. So quickly in fact, that the reviewer couldn’t even ask for a mirror.
When Mahin got to her car, she noticed blood on her forehead running down and also in the middle of her eyebrows. A few days later, she noticed that her eyebrows were looking deformed.
She called the place and they said that Mahin had to wait for 2 weeks to see the final results.
She waited and visited the doctor. However, Jafari argued that there was nothing wrong with Mahin’s eyebrows. She argued with the reviewer but she kept requesting Dr. Jafari to inject the sides of her eyebrows. So, she did but only under the condition that it was at the reviewer’s own risk. A month after the procedure, there was no sign of botox on her forehead.
Initially, Mahin had posted this review because she didn’t get any results from Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Medical Center. But she took it down later because someone called her from the clinic and requested her to do so.
At first, she thought they would issue a refund after she took down the review but they didn’t. Hence, she reposted the review. She wants people to know how Dr. Jafari operates.
Additional Reviews of Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Medical Center:
Verdict
After reading all of these reviews of Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Medical Center, it’s obvious that you can’t trust this place. Dr. Jafari has botched tons of procedures and if you complain, she threatens to sue.
All of this suggests that it would be best to avoid this medspa and look elsewhere. Luckily, Irvine has plenty of medspas to choose from.
Terrible Experience as they were unable to cure my problem as all the procedures were performed by the nurse and staff, indicating the doctor’s lack of knowledge. After the procedure, I was completely distraught as it was my fault for trusting them to solve my problem, as they were not trustworthy.
My experience was good as I had proper appointment scheduling and the staff was friendly and it was quite easy to deal with them, but after seeing some negative reviews and opinions of people, I completely agreed with them that they were doing the botched procedure and were thieves who stole their money.
I had a consultation with them, and I found them nasty and arrogant, they didn’t listen to me, and I was mute in front of them. I had properly researched it and knew how many units were required for my face, but the nurse who was doing my Botox procedure told me that I needed some extra units for better results, which I agreed with, but after the procedure, I had noticed bleeding on my face, so I contacted their customer service, and they simply told me that types of the problem were faced by many clients and it would take some time for the recovery, but after a week, I found
some redness on the face.
Now i know why there are so few negative reviews on Amoderm Cosmetic and Wellness Center. They are literally lying to their angry clients so they would take down their complaints. Horrible.
