Andrew P. Trussler, MD is a plastic surgeon with somewhat of a dark past. The guy had lost his license several years ago because of sexual misconduct with patients and drug abuse. He has retained his license now.
But according to various Dr Andrew Trussler reviews, he isn’t doing a great job as a surgeon. He has botched numerous surgical procedures and has left patients with permanent damage.
Dr. Trussler is also notorious for offering refunds for his botched procedures if you sign a waiver stating you won’t post any negative reviews about him. Certainly, he doesn’t care about ethics.

One of the reasons why I don’t recommend booking an appointment with this guy is the small disclaimer present on his website. According to the disclaimer, all the images present on his website are of models not patients unless specified. This means, you can’t trust any of the images he has posted on his website, including the before and after pictures.
The disclaimer also states that you shouldn’t make a decision based on the various testimonials mentioned on the site because the exact results aren’t guaranteed.

Andrew P. Trussler, MD Is A Drug Addict:
In 2013, the Texas Medical Board had complained that Andrew Trussler had engaged in unprofessional conduct. They also alleged that he engaged in sexual relationships with several of his patients and prescribed medication under their names for personal use.
Moreover, the board found that Andrew resigned from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center to avoid a formal investigation of these allegations.
Dr. Trussler had admitted to having sexual relationships with multiple patients and diverting medicines prescribed to them for personal use.
Because of such misconduct, the Texas Medical Board took away his power to prescribe medication to patients. He was suspended from practicing medicine for 60 days.
You can understand the seriousness of this entire matter. There aren’t many surgeons in Texas who have lost their medical license, especially because of drug abuse and sexual misconduct.

Lack Of Professionalism Reported By Patient
Eric questions the various positive reviews on Dr. Trussler because of his lack of professionalism and skill. Dr. Trussler had performed a procedure on Eric’s wife, which left her with permanent damage.
He adds that his experience with this surgeon wasn’t good. It was very disappointing. He further states that it would have helped to know about the disciplinary action Texas Medical Board had taken against Trussler.
Overpriced Consultation Fees
Stephanie shares that she tried to contact the clinic multiple times to schedule a consultation. But it took her an entire week to get a response.
She shares that Andrew P. Trussler, MD charges $100 just for consultation, which is considerably higher than what other doctors charge in the area. According to Stephanie, most doctors in the region only take a card in case you turn out to be a “no show”.
Moreover, the staff makes it seem as if the clinic doesn’t want more patients and isn’t very responsive.
Breast Augmentation With Unsatisfying Results
The reviewer says that their procedure went smoothly and the consultation was good. But the results weren’t satisfactory nor symmetrical.
The reviewer had visited Dr. Trussler’s clinic for a breast augmentation procedure. She later went to have a correction procedure but it yielded poor results.
The reviewer ends her review by saying that she doesn’t recommend Dr. Trussler.
Wasted Client’s Time
Erin shares that someone in a mom group had recommend Dr. Trussler to her. She had a virtual consultation and it went fine. At the end of her consultation, Andrew asked her to bring all of her insurance-related info to the office. She talked about the procedure and the clinic with her insurance provider who told her that they most likely wouldn’t cover the surgery.
Still, she appreciated that the office would try.
She went to the consultation with all the necessary information and made it clear to Dr. Trussler that she will have the procedure regardless of the insurance coverage. Erin states that she needed the surgery.
She called a few weeks later to check if they had submitted her surgery to insurance so that she could submit her supporting documents and book a date. But she didn’t receive any response. Erin had left a voicemail and they didn’t give her a call back.
A week later, she called again and it was obvious that the clinic hadn’t done anything.
She wanted to book for a friday because of childcare but all Fridays were booked for the specified month. When she asked if she could book a date in the next month (March), the staff member said she didn’t know when the spring break would start. Also, the staff member was hesitant because she said that Dr. Trussler might go on a vacation during that month.
A few weeks passed after Erin had this interaction with Andrew P. Trussler MD’s clinic. But she didn’t hear anything from them.
In the end, she had to go to another surgeon because the delay was just too much. Obviously, Dr. Trussler’s clinic didn’t want to perform her procedure.
Botched $13,500 Fat Transfer By Dr. Trussler (With Picture Proof):
Kate had a horrible experience with Dr. Trussler. He performed a mommy makeover on her and botched the procedure, permanently damaging her body and appearance. She had paid $13,500 for the surgery and Dr. Trussler offered to refund the money if she agreed to take down her negative review.
She shares that she had chosen Dr. Trussler because of his various five-star reviews. However, Dr. Trussler’s offer to remove her review made her realize that many of his positive reviews might be ingenuine.
Kate has shared the details of his suspension by the Texas Medical Board. She didn’t know at the time that Dr. Trussler was on probation when he performed her procedure.
He didn’t show up to her pre-op visit and didn’t listen to her when she shared her goals for this procedure. Kate adds that she hates looking in the mirror and will never wear a bikini in public again because of what he’s done to her body.
She had told him clearly that she doesn’t want him to remove too much fat. Moreover, she adds that her biggest concern was being lumpy while the second-biggest one was scars.
Andrew Trussler didn’t listen to her concerns and gave her both lumps and scars on her abdomen.
According to Kate, he took out too much fat leaving her extremely lumpy. During her post-op consultations with other doctors, they told her that the damage is irreparable. Moreover, they told her that Dr. Trussler put her life at risk by performing multiple procedures at once. She shares that she hadn’t even signed the “Informed Consent” document for the fat transfer.
Dr. Trussler hadn’t informed her of the risks associated with the procedure, which is another huge red flag.
Kate has shared her pictures with this review. You can clearly see in the ‘after’ picture how Andrew has botched the surgery completely.
She updated her review multiple times to respond to Trussler’s rebuttals. He denied being suspended from the medical board (which is obviously a lie).
Reconstructive Surgery Goes South
The reviewer says that they trusted him thinking he knows what he’s doing. But it was a mistake as he didn’t give any positive results and left the reviewer with multiple scars.
It was a reconstructive surgery. They add that the staff was very unfriendly and unprofessional. The entire experience for them was a waste of money.
Fake Google Reviews Of Dr. Trussler
This reviewer had eye bag filler from Dr. Trussler and he made things worse. They add that most of the Google reviews on Dr. Trussler are probably fake as he’s a “lousy plastic surgeon”.
At the time of writing this review, Andrew P. Trussler, MD has 99 Google reviews. Most of them are from throwaway accounts and seem quite suspicious. Plus, having a perfect 5-star rating with ~100 reviews is quite unrealistic. It means every reviewer gave him a 5-star rating, which is nearly impossible because the guy has various negative reviews on other platforms.
Made Client Wait For 1.5 Hours
The reviewer shares that Dr. Trussler has extremely long wait hours. He made the client wait for almost 1.5 hours and behaved very arrogantly. Several other patients were complaining about him in the waiting area. They suspect that most of the positive reviews on his practice are added by his staff.
He Is Arrogant & Rude
According to this reviewer, Dr. Trussler is extremely rude, arrogant and offensive. They complain that he has a much higher opinion of himself than he should. His poor behavior compelled the reviewer to go to another surgeon.
Procedure From Dr. Trussler Results In Uneven Breasts
Dr. Trussler gave this reviewer uneven breasts that don’t hang naturally. She adds that she is overwhelmed with disappointment and her appearance has worsened from what she looked like before the procedure. Now, she is looking for a different surgeon to fix his errors.
Patient Unhappy With Uneven Breasts After Dr. Trussler Does A Surgery On Them
This reviewer had breast reconstruction surgery from Dr. Trussler. However, he botched the procedure and her breasts don’t match at all. Furthermore, his interns saw her at the hospital and behaved awfully. She shares that she is unhappy with her current appearance and will look for another expert to clean up Andrew’s mess.
Marriage In Shambles Because Of Andrew
The reviewer had a tummy tuck procedure and it left her with an awful scar. She doesn’t recommend going to Dr. Trussler.
Better Alternatives Are Available
This reviewer had seen Dr. Trussler for breast reconstruction and shares that he was full of himself during the meeting. His behavior was extremely condescending, arrogant and boastful.
She heard another woman in the waiting room complaining about her results. This reviewer ended up seeing another surgeon because she couldn’t tolerate Andrew’s behavior.

If you’re looking for the best plastic surgeons in Texas, you can remove Dr. Trussler from the list. After going through the various Dr Andrew Trussler reviews, one thing is obvious, the guy is not a good surgeon.
He offers refunds to his clients if they don’t post any negative reviews about him. So, you can’t trust most of his online ratings as well. Even with his offer of refunds, there are a ton of complaints against him.
Not to mention, Dr. Trussler was involved in sexual relationships with his patients and has a history of drug abuse. All of this suggests that Dr. Trussler is not a surgeon you can trust. Avoid him.
I wholeheartedly disagree with this page. I have had an intensive surgery with Dr. Trussler this year and my experience has been extremely positive from beginning to end. I don’t know why this one lady is trying to ruin his career so much. It’s the same person on multiple websites, so I just wanted to give my 2 cents. No one is perfect but to go around and waste your life creating these pages and having your husband also review is pretty pathetic. I received the best care, and follow up care. And just fyi most high quality surgeons request a consultation fee.
How is he running a clinic with such a horrible medical history? This is plain disgusting. I’m all up for giving people second chances but not when they are butchering up other people’s bodies and charging them thousands of dollars. Not only is this unprofessional but also unacceptable. Throw him behind bars please.
