Andrew R. Katz Claims to Be Crypto Entrepreneur; Fraud Artist and Convicted Criminal
Crypto The mere fact that Andrew R. Katz (aka Ross Katz aka Stark Katz), the self-described founder of “Seaquake.io” uses an assortment of aliases and multiple corporate entities registered in multiple states should be enough to raise red flags for anyone who encounters him or his ‘company’.
A friend went to work for ‘start-up’ as a business development executive three years ago and he solicited me to invest in the company. I signed something called a “SAFE Note” and wired $10,000 to a “Seaquake” corporate account. Several months later, I discovered that a lawsuit had been filed against Seaquake and its principals Andrew Katz and Matthew Krueger for defrauding other investors.

A SAFE Note is a financial agreement, that allows the traders to purchase the shares of company for future date. The agreement is usually signed when the company raises the second round of funding.
Then I discovered several ‘complaints’ posted on the internet by landlords and Airbnb hosts that said Katz had stiffed them and when they demanded their money, they started receiving harassing and threatening text messages from him
Katz and Krueger
I contacted Krueger to ask for my money back and sent me an email (cc’ing Matthew Krueger) stating that I “never invested in the company, as no funds were ever received.” I sent back documentation provided by my bank that confirmed the funds were sent to the bank account designated by Katz in the original wire instructions. Katz then replied by claiming the account information provided (by his employee) was wrong, and he repeated his claim that his company never received the funds. My bank then contacted the bank that Seaquake held an account with, and they confirmed to my bank that my funds were deposited in the Seaquake account.
When I sent all of that information to Krueger, they insisted they never received the money and that they would do nothing more.
Since that time, I have discovered that Andrew Katz has a criminal history that goes back more than 10 years. He’s been arrested for assault, stalking, breaking and weapons charges. According to public records, there is a fugitive warrant for his arrest for failing to appear for sentencing on charges of assault in New York. Despite all of this, I have seen a variety of ‘articles’ published by blogs that claim to be ‘news sites’, but are public relations sites that charge for posting articles that appear to be ‘interviews’ –and all of the posts cast this guy as some kind of crypto industry entrepreneur. It’s all baloney. Stay away from this individual at all costs.
Andrew is my husband’s former business partner..regrettably..his most recent time in jail (see this link: https://vinelink.vineapps.com/person-detail/offender/34235553;tabIndexToSelect=0 ) indicates that State of Florida has released him from custody..again.
LIN- Based on an assortment of online information, it appears that your husband Matthew Krueger was an eager partner of Katz, and was complicit in helping Katz defraud investors and he was rewarded (as you were indirectly) for those efforts with hundreds of thousands of dollars in the course of scamming multiple investors. Don’t you remember the process servers who were knocking your door?
