BROUGHT AN ACER TABLET FROM WALMART.COM. WITHIN FOUR MONTHS, THE TABLET STOP WORKING. RETURNED TO ACER, FOR REPAIR, CAME BACK NOT WORKING. I ONLY HAD APPROXIMATELY FOUR TO FIVE MONTHS OF SERVICE. Very Frustrated (7/22/15)

I use an ACER ASPIRE 6930G Laptop.Microsoft was reguarily sending me service-updates.one appeared requiring a large amount of magabites,-350mb or more,I waited some days before installing.It requested 3 hours or more to install,after 3 hours it informed me it had failed to install,and switched off laptop.On restarting it would only inform me that it ''failed to install service-pack'' and wouldn't operate again. I took it to a service shop,where I was charged £35 for windows-vista-install,inc.updates & drives. They handed it back with no programmes on it and my private files[like my T.V.licence] scrubbed off. I complained bitterly to them,and they retrieved some programmes and files[not my T.V.licence]. I also had an expensive 200 hour C.D.-collection-with many rare albums-ripped to my library, that lost very detailed information and album cover-pictues,with many tracks [30-50%] develoing a fault of a 1-5 second gap,other tracks are garbeled or unclear.Because of a normal message from…  View Gripe »

lap top (7/19/15)

First I got ripped off buying Acer driver update After paid for it. IT would not install drivers because it was malware. Avangate collected the money for DGT SOFT,INC. Then,I call Acer to complain and get ripped off again by Guruaid. Why do they let crooks use their name. They kept me on the phone for hours. They did not fix computer and I called back several times. They make you say computer is fixed before you have a chance to try it out. They ask me to write a review. I say want to try first. They take me to there sight anyway. I am dead tired from being on phone for hours and write just so I can hang up. I call because computer not fixed. Told me I needed $5 software. Then I am told that I am calling India. They got my credit card number and told me to call microsoft at *72 19375571918. I only heard the Guruaid worker say a few words and never spoke. He wired himself money and way more than $5. I will never buy Acer product again. You let crooks use your name.  View Gripe »

Faulty keyboard (7/11/15)

I recently have purchased a Laptop from US and unfortunately it is faulty the keyboard was messed up and Battery was not charging, and due to international Purchase I couldn't return the product, so contacted ACER as its well under Warranty, wrapped the Laptop off and send to them, received a letter saying the LCD screen is broken, I am totally shocked as its a brand new laptop and they charging me for something which I haven't done, so called them and after investigation they say that the product was received like that, which I disagree as when we wrapped the laptop there was not a single scratch on the item.  View Gripe »

Bad customer service (7/10/15)

I would like an acer manager to call me regarding my disappointing experience with acer. I paid to have my computer repaired as I could not get it to work the message was 'THE USER PROFILE SERVICE, SERVICE PROFILE CANNOT BE LOADED' then after 5 weeks it stopped working again. I then called acer again and they stated I would have to pay more money. I thing this is absolutely disgusting. 100-1180 Acer Aspire E5-511 (7/10/15)

I used the laptop on Monday night and everything was fine come to use it on the Tuesday morning switched it on and had this dark patch in the top left hand corner of the screen phoned my son as I am no technophobe and he said it sounded as if the screen was bleeding took it back to the store I purchased it from and they wont touch it so phoned the help line and the gent I spoke to said that Ihad either dropped it or bashed it having done neither to my laptop I was informed that it isn't under warranty and the cost was £55 just for fetching it without the actual repair as this is out of my reach and I use the laptop to order all my prescriptions and make appointments as am not very mobile. very disappointed in the service from Tesco as this laptop is still under warranty needless to say I will not be purchasing anything Electrical from here again  View Gripe »

lost a customer (6/17/15)

Have an acer a500 tablet for around 5 years now. I was always happy with it for the most part. Often recommended acer products to my friends but that has all changed. I had been trying to update the software on my tablet for a few years but was never able to do it. Everything I tried it would say that I had poor network and couldn't do it. I just though a few times that maybe my WiFi was kind of poor. Eventually I sat the tablet to the side and forgot about it until the next time I use it. So I searched everywhere online today looking for an answer why I couldn't update the software and if there was another way. Seems I'm not alone in this issue. Decided to call technical support and since no longer have warranty, Abu wants to charge me a one time fee of helping me address the issue. I told him that's not right to charge me when all I want to do is ask a few questions about where I could download an update. We went back and forth for a little whIle.
