Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Yamaha Motor India Group has laid off about 200 employees across various divisions in India over the past year or so. Motofumi Shitara who heads Yamaha in India is solely responsible for this failure and disaster which has ended up ruining the lives of employees serving the company for so many decades. One fine day being asked to leave without any reason, without any compensation specially when the company calls itself a family is very upsetting and disgusting. Middle aged employees having kids and families and who have been in the company since decades were asked leave at the drop of a hat. This is absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional and immoral. Yamaha India and the team of Motofumi Shitara have been trying their level best to keep this under wraps, they have been trying extremely hard to plant fake positive reviews, paid news stories and paid interviews. They believe they can suppress the truth but i will ensure they do not succeed at it will and will expose them till the very end.

Who is Motofumi Shitara? (Yamaha India Head)
Motofumi Shitara is the head of Yamaha India, he is responsible for all the deals, activities and decisions which the company takes. He is essentially the nexus of everything between Yamaha HQ in Japan and Yamaha India. He has fired close to 200 Yamaha India employees to save the company money and hassle. However, this was not necessary at all and the company could’ve easily kept the employees. But being a sadist, Motofumi Shitara chose to see families get torn apart during the pandemic, rather then see them flourish or even survive for that matter.
Motofumi Shitara Left Yamaha India Employees Stranded
During COVID, when people were expecting big companies to support their employees, Yamaha betrayed them royally. Yamaha calls their employees a part of their “family” and guess what? They left them to starve. The 200 people, whose lives Motofumi Shitara has ruined, did he ever wonder or even consider the fact that how will they survive their unforeseen firing? Motofumi Shitara has not only ruined 200 lives, but also the lives of the family members of each one of them. Each one of them had wives, children and older parents to take care of, but this incompetent sadist and monstrous chairman showed no mercy and only thought of filling his pockets. Whereas companies like Hero Honda, TVS, Bajaj supported each of one of their employees all throughout.
Shitara is happy as long as Yamaha fills his pockets. he does not care if his employees struggle to survive thE pandemic or not.
Yamaha India Laid off 200 People Without ANY Compensation
A company so big in nature with a solid revenue, laid off hundreds of employees without any compensation is ridiculous and uncouth. Employees having served the company for 20-25 years are asked to leave one fine day. They don’t even get any consideration! It is cold hearted, sadistic and ruthless.

Motofumi Shitara who is the chairman of the company has smartly projected this as a restructuring move, while we all know and are smart enough to understand that it was just an excuse during COVID times. My friend’s father has been laid off and I went to his house to meet him the same day. I cannot even begin to describe the state of mind and shock he was in. Yamaha is using cheap and unethical tactics while they continue to call themselves a “family”. The ignorance is unreal but sad.
Motofumi Shitara has failed as the chairman and head of Yamaha India, because of his failures and his wrong doings, because of his inability to foresee what lies ahead, 200 lives were ruined and the Indian Media who’s pockets he filled did not care to expose him and his illicit activites. Shameful.
I urge authorities to take notice and help people whos life they have ruined. Motofumi Shitara is ruthless and a big fraud and should be ashamed of himself. Just because the management failed to foresee correct business measure why should 200 people pay the price for it? We all know how big a company Yamaha is and how they could have saved 200 lives from getting ruined. But they did not, despite people pleading and begging them to. They claim to do this because they aim to increase production, how can production increase if the workforce decreases?

They are very smart when it comes to projecting their image and protecting their reputation. It is high time we expose them and bring out the truth. Just because its a big automobile company doesnt mean they have the right to silence or manipulate the truth. WE WANT JUSTICE! We all should Boycott Yamaha and stop buying its bikes. I urge all affected victim to not be silenced. Do not be scared and do not be afraid of this company. You must take legal action and expose them online , offline , media and social media. Dont let it be. Dont let them get away with it. Motofumi Shitara needs to understand the repercussions of his wrong doings.

I am also victim of this, all of sudden called to office and threat us to leave the company ourself or they will spoil the career. No respect for honest people’s. Very poor culture. They didn’t even pay compensation. Just one month basic salary. Shame on all of them. HR department have no power to take decision.

I read somewhere that a kid’s father was fired by Yamaha India recently (I think it was during the time they fired these 200 people). And his father is now suffering from crippling depression and to make matters worse, his grandmother suffers from cancer and the family cannot afford the treatment now. The grandma must be suffering a lot right now. I can’t believe it man. Motofumi Shitara should be thrown in jail for this devilish act. Does he realize how many lives he ruined? I’m 100% sure he knows that and still did the act because he liked it. He will rot in hell for this!
