Public Service Solar
Run away from this company! One of their sales rep persuaded us into getting solar panels them. It has been the worst financial decision of our lives. My S/O and I bought our house back in 2011. It looked gorgeous. We spent money and time into making sure it looked the way it did. However Public Service Solar ruined it. The installation job they have done on our house’s roof is horrendous. The roof looks hideous. The house looks hideous now.
The panels aren’t set in a symmetry even though there is clearly space on the roof. I contacted Public Service Solar and asked them to improve the installation but they outright denied to do that. The staff has no professionalism whatsoever. The design they put on my roof was not the design we agreed upon earlier. This new one was not looking good AT ALL. After a few days, I received a call from them and they said they will change the design but we will have to pay them $2,503.00 for it. THE AUDACITY!!!
Why would I pay that much money for a job they did bad???? They are robbing people. At first they’ll give you false hope about how much money you’ll save and how much good you’ll do for the planet. And then once you enter the 20 year contract, they will show their true colors. They deliberately installed the hideously designed panels on our roof so they can charge more for the better one. Even though we had already chosen the good looking design earlier.

The installation process itself was bothersome. The installers were unprofessional and talked loudly on the roof. Our next door neighbor came to our house with the noise complaint. We are not going to pay them the outrageous 2.5k but we don’t seem to have a choice either. The house looks totally crap and it’s all because of Public Service Solar and their ugly solar design. Please run away from this company, they are not worth your time or your money. We are now stuck with a 20 year contract with them and I don’t know what to expect from them in the future. I only wrote this Public Service Solar review so they don’t take advantage of other people in my neighborhood. Things are already really bad thanks to the recent events, and this company is out here to make it even worse for us!

Purchased a solar system from Public Service Solar In 2021, my wife and I could not be happier. Our system is preforming above expectation, utility bills have been almost non existent and we receive credits from the State that are paying for the system. Our system is very large, 58 modules, and our investment will be paid off in the next year or so, with the money saved by not paying for electricity and the money we are making on the state credits. By far the best company we have spoken with and absolutely thrilled with the product, no pressure or rush to try and get us to sign the contract. Tony was able to answer all of our questions and provided us will all the information we needed to make the right decision.
With that all being said, we recently purchased another system from Public Service Solar on our vacation house in the Poconos. Price increased only slightly, which was great compared to the increase of everything else in the world. Tony was great back then and still is now, very honest and upfront about everything, explained the difference between New Jersey and Pennsylvania. 10 out of 10 company, highly recommended.
Public Service Solar is an exceptional company. I am writing this because I seen a bad review and after spending $40,000 on the most beautiful solar system, I know the detail PSS puts into their work. The previous reviews and comments are either fake or competitors.

I’ll keep it short. Not here to waste anyone’s time with my BS.
I bought a house. It took 4 months for the solar systems to get activated. The panels worked fine for 3 months after which it had an inverter issue. After multiple calls with Public Service Solar, we still haven’t gotten an appointment for getting the inverter fix. It’s bonkers man. There should be someone who holds them accountable for this BS.
