Russell Brunson

Russell Brunson is one of such ‘teachers’ who urge their customers to join Empower Network. This is a Pyramid Scheme, if people who read this are unaware of, which helps people make money by encouraging more people to recruit into the program through you. Its mechanism might seem simple to you. But as I unfolded things for myself, it left me both amazed and worried. These Internet Gurus might seem like angels to us in our difficult times, yet appearances are deceptive.

People have, are, and always will be, desperate to earn money. Some of us might argue over the fact that it is the right of every living being in this world to earn and spend money on them. The question that arises is how far could people go in contemplating their desires? The century that we live in has been coping over many transitions that the world has moved on from which Online or Internet Marketing has been the new addition to the greater business ideas. Over hundreds of thousands of online businesses have been started or are under process every day, making the Internet one of the top markets around the globe. Where there is a sparking potential, we always have seen scams and fraud living over other’s sweat.

Entrepreneurship is considered the ‘golden boy’ of business and marketing; hence it wasn’t too late until entrepreneurship joined in the circles of online marketing. With advancing grounds in this professional field, we saw modernized versions of tools that promoted online businesses.

Manipulating Vulnerable People Online

Russell Brunson Sales Pitch

Russell Brunson was one of the many individuals who figured out to move the system to the next level by forging a forum that allows marketers to sell their products. It seemed to be a pretty frondeur concept for me when I came across the idea of ‘sales funnel’ and how Russell Brunson made his worth seven figures in a mere three to four years. For instance, it amazed me and everyone that I know of, but I sure kept digging into what this idea really is about and what and how exactly Russell Brunson had been benefiting from “other businesses.”

What made me dig deeper into the scam (that I was about to find out) was the word “short-cut”. I feel this word to be exaggerated as every mature mind believes that “the road to success is difficult and has no short-cuts.” With Russell Brunson with the short-cuts in his product he offered to many people with desires to have a successful setup, this made me test the product to see the extent to which he was able to break the regular cycle of success.

Just as all regular advertising companies with their standard catchy pick-up lines to tempt random people, Russell Brunson’s ClickFunnels was a similar online company to tempt people struggling to set their online businesses. I, too, came with an online startup idea along with certain products to sell. It was on one of the reviews that this site was useful to people who have a product to sell, otherwise “it would be a wastage of time and money.” Amusingly, it was still a wastage of time and money considering my experience along with several other experiences that I became aware of whilst digging into ClickFunnels and many other products that Russell Brunson sold.

As I got myself registered and got myself a trial membership, it moved me to assess the tool to its entirety. With some knowledge of Sales Funnel, the concept and how it is interpreted to use it impeccably to get my business in the right direction; I started gauging it. At first, I had to pay only a dollar for access to the trial. Considering the level of work that is affiliated with the company, it should be in a way that should impress the person who is to start a legitimate business and particularly not lose any money in any case. Yet, Russell Brunson won’t provide full access to his system. It is the case with a lot of ‘crappy’ trial versions of different software that are potentially a scam to gain revenue out of it. Without any knowledge of what I was into, there was nothing I could gain from it for the first two to three days.

3 10

With a 14-day trial version that I could use, it was time until I had to pay more money out for the full updated version. It turned out that the company advised me to buy an upgraded version of it on the fourth day. I never knew I had an awaiting scam ready for taking everything out of me that it can. Under the circumstances I had used the trial version of Brunson’s product, there was no way I was to pay $97 for the thing that had nothing to grasp my attention. Yet, even after canceling it, the company charged $97 out of my card. Except for regret, there was certainly nothing I could’ve done out it. This made me search more about this company and the clientele it had. To my surprise, I wasn’t the first one who got bamboozled by them. Many had been preyed on by these people amongst which there were cases much stronger that made me conclude that Russell Brunson, not only with ClickFunnels had been scamming and becoming a millionaire out of people’s businesses but had used this popularity to sell his absurd, incomplete ideas that had no realistic approaches. He had more software that had a similar purpose, he ‘taught’ people the ways of becoming successful like him and a lot of millionaires that were at the place because of him. DotComSecrets X Program is another example that provided trial versions and used the time-release delay tactic to clench tight to his clients into the trap he is leading them to.

Russell’s Content Analysis

Apart from these programs, he also had sold his ideas with the books he had written over the Sales Funnel concept and even the DotCom Secrets Program which is certainly supposed to depict that Russell intends to teach his client the “ins and outs of the Internet Marketing.” It soon would amaze you just like it did to me when anyone of you with a certain knowledge of internet marketing would discover how much revenue Russell gets out of the Empower Network he runs as an Internet Guru. These Gurus are the basic problem within the internet marketing industry that is certainly ‘using’ other people and are living off them. It would surely seem obvious how easily we see such motivational speakers become millionaires in no time. As they aren’t here to improve your life, they make you feel inadequate without them. This is what makes them rich, the feeling that they constantly put into their clients of getting more to be happier.

Either you are a ClickFunnels user or a DotComSecrets X program participant; you’d be facing the same conclusion, of being scammed. The problem that lies within these systems is the scam advertising that we see all around our web pages. It is now part of our marketing system to brag extraordinarily about the services a certain party is selling to gain attention from the desperate class who are constantly struggling to build up their future.

ClickFunnels or DotComSecrets X gives you a 14-day and 7-day trial version respectively, which as in my case, gets expired days before the subscription is to end. Even with the complete trial version, there is no full access to the program with partial access to training lessons that are primitive of no use to the users. They are merely half-hearted discussions by Russell Brunson which doesn’t have any certain realistic ground.

6 1

discovering fake reviews isn’t new being in the galaxy of internet services. Almost everyone around the globe has had used this tactic to maintain a certain image in the society they are providing certain services. The same had been with the DotComSecrets X program which was specifically reviewed at another affiliated page regarding this trial version and the training session as a ‘time-release delay’ tactic which is the content enough to digest for a week. This time-release delay is certainly a tactic; to just keep you up till that time so that they can charge you $97 per month.

The readers need to understand the real purpose of Russell Brunson and his software and programs. They, unfortunately, are his products which he is potentially selling through us, the clients that use his product. He whole sells his product to you. DotComSecrets X is not going to teach you about internet marketing; it sadly is you paying money to get access to more of his product i.e. his books etc. so that you can learn from the “Guru” to help you sell his products.

Another problem that I have encountered whilst digging more into ClickFunnels and having my products sold was the payouts that I consistently asked for. Things do seem to be smooth for a moment when this tool does come in handy for people in selling their products. Yet ‘things’ aren’t always this smooth when it comes to scam. I had $3000 worth of products sold through ClickFunnels which impressed me at first. I had everything right and as I went for the payout, it hit me with a rejection. I wasn’t given what I had earned from my hard work. ClickFunnels has a bunch of scams ready for its customers at every stage. With some research, I discovered that I wasn’t the only one facing the issues stated above.

It might be discussed at certain places that Internet gurus, who are teachers or motivators to get your business into the path of success, are certainly here to teach you out in every legitimate way we can think of. These facts might amaze us that the number of internet gurus is constantly increasing who potentially are also selling their products with what they are ‘teaching’. This is something most of us wouldn’t believe considering the way these people have been communicating with us. Yet, if we put our focus more into what they constantly bring up is their products; which certainly means that they are looking over their commissions, even with all the committed guidance.

10

Continuing with EN and Russell Brunson, they offer a range of tiers at first to the person who has been influenced through their teaching programs which are of different costs. Some of them are monthly tiers whilst others are one-time buy-ins. I was curious about spending money to get to know more about these ‘easy versions of earning money.’ To my amazement, it soon came in the terms and conditions of this program that I would be receiving payment of the tiers that we are in. It was truly shocking for me at that moment. Any recruiter who selects a tier above ours wouldn’t be ours, technically. It made me more curious to discover who gets the money from that recruiter. Turns out, it is our great Internet Gurus who were trying to make our search for ways of earning more money. This Pyramid Scheme hence got easier to interpret to who is getting rich out of it. With the right calculations, it was concluded that if a person goes to the highest tier available, Russell still easily gains a $4600 commission out of it. This certainly testifies the statement that these people are only interested in making money for themselves. These motivational speakers are not here to improve your life without any interest, to make you rich and satisfied in your lives. They are undoubtedly present in the internet market to make people in distrust feel their adequacy and need. This is what makes them millionaires. We have seen that Russell Brunson is here to sell his products in every way possible and in greater quantities every passing day. His promotions have had only self-interest all over these years.

Have you looked into chris reader at all? Same concept potentially with affiliate marketing.

  2. So far Click Funnels and Russell Brunson has stolen $1600 in commissions from me and my clients. They just refuse to answer your emails once they decide to steal your commissions. Certain internet gurus, on a first name with Russell Brunson, and who are aware of the proof, dont bother to do anything to defend their followers, because they are hoping their association with Russell Brunson will help build their own following.

  3. Russell Brunson usually says “model what works. If you trying to reinvent too much, you might fail and struggle”. Other platforms simply sell you the tools and not the winning formula.

  4. Some people think that just because they have a funnel then they will get rich and well that is just not true.
I literally heard someone ‘big’ in the space, and he was proud to say he was making money of struggling marketers, I felt sad.

  5. Many so called gurus dont tell these negative things to theirs subscribers and clients just because they want people to join clickfunnels so that they can make 40% recurring commissions from each signup. I have also came across another issue which is when you setup drip feed inside clickfunnels membership site setup, there is no proper way to test whether the drip feed is working correctly in the order and the days delay we setup. Also I use profitbuilder and I setup everything better than clickfunnels in my business without paying any heavy monthly fees like clickfunnels charges.

  6. You ask anyone if One Funnel is good or not? You will get lot of replies from themto purchase Russell Brunson’s One Funnel Away Challenge directly from them.
BUT none will say if its worth..
All they want is to get others buy so that they can recover their losses.
The question to ask you right back is: What does “worth it” mean to you?

  7. I just trialed clickfunnels, it isn’t for newbies for sure. I had many of the same issues . Even with one of their “coaches” setting up the funnels with me. I would think everything was working, Do my fb ad campaign (for $400) and wonder why no one was signing up for the webinar…only to figure out that the funnel was broken…that happened several times. I was hoping clickfunnels was better, but I thank you for this honest review because it is about the same. I can’t afford to spend the money to test out their broken funnels anymore.

  8. Thanks for showing the real face of Clickfunnels, They dont tell these negative things to theirs subscribers and clients just because they want people to join clickfunnels so that they can make 40% recurring commissions from each signup.

  9. It is very confusing, hard to use, expensive. If you’re learning to build an online sales funnel, there are tons of other tools that are easier and much more affordable. Start with those and save yourself a ton of time and money and headache.
Quality is too low, you end up messing a lot. The reality of setting ClickFunnels up and it being successful is too difficult than I expected.

  10. Clickfunnel is a lot of hype. Bad service. Good marketing, but not up to it’s hype. It’s almost like they spend more on self promotion. Traffic mainly bots to trick you. Spammy with glitches.

  11. The marketing on these “funnels” is amazing. They actually have people believing these are sales funnels. These programs are nothing more than niche website builders helping users make videos so that they can create their own sales funnels (channels). A sales funnel is method by which to generate (funnel) actual sales. So for instance, software that syncs your product to multiple channels like ebay and amazon would deserve to be called a sales funnel. I mean just the name pulled me in, as soon as I saw “clickfunnels” I was like this is awesome and I had no idea it’s just a drag and drop wysiwyg video builder. Superb marketing, well done clickfunnels!

  12. Clickfunnels for physical products integration is a pain. They really only cater to coaches, affiliates and people who offer online courses. Great marketing company but not recommended for ecommerce.

  13. Clickfunnels website is so difficult to understand they have a great video ad with the “golddigger” hyping it so I went ahead and signed up for the “free trial” tried it and then right when I tried to cancel it they gave me two options to put it on pause for $9.99 or to continue with the cancellation however the cancellation button was inactive they want to jip you even if you do the free trial they want to charge you $9.99 per month very sneaky very unethical I think I might check out builderall instead. But builderall looks kind of sketchy as well I guess I’ll just have to cross that bridge when I get there. But to those of you who want to try clickfunnels you make your own decision but just be aware of that $9.99 that they want to charge you per month even if you don’t want to use it. Idk maybe it’s me but Russell Branson kind of gives off a weasel scumbag vibe I’m glad I went with my senses tried it out and canceled it ASAP. Of course this is just my opinion.

  14. I tried the 14 day trial and cancel it within 3 days of signing up with 11 days of trial left. After I cancel my account Clickfunnels did not remove my account until 4 days beyond my cancellation date and charged me $297. ClickFunnels suck do not fall for they’re 14 day free trial.

  15. I agree that Clickfunnels is a scam. I think it’s a complete waste of money, but… people are lazy and they think that swiping the credit card is a substitute for doing the work. It’s not. Kind of the same thing with college. 4 years of opportunity cost, go into debt, yet not learning skills that can be monetized.

  16. Clickfunnels seriously stinks because with their landind pages you appear salesy and even if you do a lot of testing you lose lots of money in your business at the beginning because you need a lot of testing to understand what people responds to what and the service is too expensive for testing also they are not providing enough education for traffic and different type of sales funnels and the integrations are terrible and as you told they direct customers to their website if the links are broken don’t use clickfunnels

  17. Thanks for your honest review. I was just thinking to start with CF, but I’m still wondering if it worth the money.

  18. Many people don’t know this about Russell, but he was one of the first to pioneer the free trial scam. The FTC has been on the look out for these offers and Russell was one of the leaders who helped to invent this scam.

Russell Brunson called his free trial scam ”Micro continuity” – you can see the youtube of him describing his free trial scam here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=cVw-3V8DiS0.

The trick was that Russell would enroll people into his free trial offers and not tell them.

  19. Many thanks for sharing this review Your review is one of the most comprehensive and I got some great insights.
Russell Brunson is NOT giving you FULL ACCESS to DotComSecrets X when you join the membership area. Instead, you will have access to only seven days of training lessons at a time. You will not be able to work through the course faster, even if “you die trying”.

You do not get full access to DotComSecrets X when you become a member. You get access to only 7 days lessons. The release delay is to let you hang longer for the training lessons to come so that you can be charged again.

Although, Russell has promised his system would be free as long as you don’t make money, it’s NOT SO. In fact, you will be billed from the first day on. This shows how much you can trust Mr. Russell Brunson.

  20. Russell does Shameless promotion – Yes, when I went to their page through an affiliate link, they have some automatic video play (which I dislike anyway) with some hard-sell guy swearing; That makes me think they have an unprofessional attitude, if that’s their promotion page

  22. Your business funnel is like an airport. It’s better to have several airlines to serve to give the hub support than to have one airline that could have a majority of traffic all the sudden pulls out. Being dependent on one source could destroy a business. (ie the empty terminals at Cincinnati airport after Delta pull it’s hub away. It’s better to have many different moving parts because if one fails you don’t have to replace everything. Btw, 197 dollars…I know about that program. It’s like them say you need a Ferrari to get from a to b when a Honda or Ford can get to the same destination. I like your approach. Common sense logic and integrity shooting past the BS that’s out there. It’s better to be honest car mechanic than to have a reputation of ripping people off.

  23. I was considering buying one of those heavily promoted funnel systems. (I don’t want a fancy sports car anyway!) 1 year in and I’m publishing content and slowly growing my audience. AND you saved me $1000’s.

  24. I started the free trial of click funnels yesterday and honestly i am very displeased. It seems to have a lot of glitches already with pages not loading and the layouts seems very rigid and not as customizable as I thought.

  25. I was about to get trapped in the gold rush conspiracy and just completed a free trial, but cancelled. Just survived the Levi Strauss of our time. Lucky me that i came on this review page and understood what exactly it is. Thanks again for the good work and keep it up.

  26. I have wasted a lot of money and over a year on these so called funnels that promise heaven on earth only to find out that they are not even worth the page they are written on.
The main reason I fell for these funnel / app scams is that I am a newbie when it comes to ecommerce and have yet to make a $/£/€ since September last year. The last one I paid for was zero up which promised to set a shopify store with real products uploaded in 10 mins or less. I bought it in November with the hope of selling products during black friday and cyber monday but the app did not work! I am begining to doubt whether any of these ecommerce success stories are real.

That’s the biggest crap online – tool presented as a SOLUTION to all your problems. Moreover, it is presented not only as a solution but as an EASY solution. Just do this that and this add couple upsells, a/b test and steal traffic from your competitors. Duuuuuhhh

  28. I got SOLD the Click Funnels software…but they don’t sell software they sell the idea of you sharing your gift to the world. That strategy works very well for any human until you wake up and realise you could have stayed with the FREE WordPress. So I went from ClickFunnels high payment per month back to my free WordPress. when we all get excited or desperate we get SOLD

  29. Well said, there is definitely a huge trend in people buying tools and subscriptions that are unnecessary and that don’t actually benefit them. Always look for alternatives

  30. Whether you are a ClickFunnels user or a DotComSecrets X program participant; you’d be facing the same conclusion, of being scammed. 31. The idea of selling someone a software like clickfunnels in belief they will become a millionaire with it is wrong….. however if you’re teaching your audience about how to create a funnel, and why a funnel is crucial in order to do affiliate marketing correctly , then suggesting them a software to build funnels is the more ethical approach. Don’t go around telling people if they sign up under you they’ll make passive income. It’s scummy.
