Who is Siddharth Prabhakar?
According to Mr. Prabhakar’s LinkedIn portfolio, which by the way, reads like a hastily put-together snake-oil pitch, he aims to help entrepreneurs take their 1st step in the business world and live “a Superstar Life”. He also claims to run 8 companies, actually my bad, 8 “successful” companies and manages 450 employees.
Then the about page goes on to call me a superstar, which honestly felt quite nice. Now he lists 5 companies that he claims are running on “auto mode”. These are the listed companies:
- Masterschool.in (or we can say Celebrityschool.in)
- eStartup Ventures Pvt. Ltd.
- Venture IIT and Medical classes
- Floating Campus Pvt. Ltd.
Being such a prestigious professional, you would expect Mr. Prabhakar to have a strong grasp of the English language. But unfortunately, he is merely a charlatan and his official LinkedIn about page has 5 grammatical mistakes. Now, it may seem like I’m nit-picking, but I’m not, see, LinkedIn is a professional platform, real entrepreneurs who have real experience know it’s value and put time & effort into building their LinkedIn page. But Siddharth Prabhakar isn’t an authentic entrepreneur, he is a con artist and he can’t even write a small paragraph without a plethora of errors in it.
I understand that an allegation of “con artist” can land me a lawsuit, so I have solid evidence to back it up. In the section below, I’ll break down the elaborate scam Siddharth Prabhakar is running and how he is manipulating thousands of young Indians.
Celebrityschool.in Review: A Star-Studded Refund Scam
This review below was the reason I decided to sit down and look into this scam. This poor fella lost thousands of INR to this scam and now he needs the money back, but that money is probably feeding Mr. Prabhakar’s lavish lifestyle & his beer belly right now.
Help me, I want to get a refund for a course I bought from Celebrityschool.in but I don’t know what to do. Please help me, i spent my family’s money and we really need the money now. Does anyone know how to get a refund from them?Source: Celebrityschool.in Review
Here is another Celebrityschool review I found, this time, it’s on Facebook.
You have to take this into perspective that India is still a 3rd world country, so most of the people who bought the product might not even know that they can post a review online.
CelebritySchool are running quite a lot of advertisements at the moment, and according to my team’s research, they are 10,000-20,000 Indians, aging from 16-30. They are specifically targeting youngsters because they are easier to fool, especially when you have Bollywood celebrities’ faces. A high percentage of Millennials are aware of scams like CelebritySchool (or MasterSchool) thanks to their experiences with MLM companies like QNET.
Breakdown of The Business Plan of Celebrityschool.in
I got in touch with an experienced growth hacker and asked him to breakdown how Siddharth Prabhakar actually scams masses. Here’s the full breakdown:
Copy The Editing & Marketing Style From Masterclass.com
I think this one is quite obvious as many people have pointed out. Siddharth has stolen the whole business plan from Masterclass however, just added a hidden disclaimer and lowered the quality of the courses.
Want proof? The average advertisement by Masterclass.com is around 1:50 long and guess what’s the average is length of an ad by CelebritySchool is? Yeah, it’s 1:50.
They’ve copied a lot more than just the ad but I think whoever reads this is intelligent enough to realize that.
Advertise With Well-Known Celebrities
Say whatever about Siddharth Prabhakar, but you have to give credits to his parental connections. After all, he got some very popular celebrities to take part in his scandalous scheme. However, it shouldn’t be a big shocker for anyone as Bollywood celebrities have been notorious for endorsing scams.
Take the living legend Shahrukh as an example, even he was greedy (or maybe foolish) enough to endorse QNET, which is a well-known MLM scam which has ruined countless families. So when celebrities like Shaan and Nawazuddin Siddique work with a scammer like Siddharth Prabhakar, we shouldn’t be taken aback.
Mr. Prabhakar is using these faces to give an illusion of high quality & assurance. As youngsters often look up to celebrities, when they are told that the celebs themselves will teach them something, they trust the company blindly. Certainly a smart move by Mr. Prabhakar, he is successfully scamming dozens of teenagers from India everyday.
Manipulate Youngsters Into Buying Useless Courses
This becomes very easy once the “target” watches an advertisement with their favorite celebrity in it. They take their dad’s credit card and go on to make a non-refundable purchase without knowing that it is non-refundable.
Don’t Give Refunds
Soon the victim realizes that they have been scammed into buying a useless course. Now, they contact the customer support of CelebritySchool and ask for a refund, but instead of getting their money back, they are told they won’t get a penny back
And this is how Siddharth Prabhakar makes his money. By scamming young innocent children and youngsters.
Help Me Stop Siddharth Prabhakar From Taking Advantage of The Indian Youth
Share this post with your friends who are interested in learning acting, singing, public speaking or Bollywood in general.
Because they are the most vulnerable targets for Siddharth Prabhakar’s team. Show them the reality.
Don’t let them get scammed by a selfish sadist.
After spending more than 20 hours of investigating Mr. Prabhakar, I conclude that he is indeed running an elaborate education scam. Due to the loopholes in the judicial and legal system of India, he is not legally liable for this cunning scheme, however, it is still a fraud.
You should avoid CelebritySchool (or MasterSchool) and keep yourself safe from this fraudster.
