Sterling Bank

My Savings Disappeared from my Sterling Bank Account!

On 4th September 2019 I started a monthly savings with Sterling Bank called “Double Target” this allows me to save monthly for 9months to meet a particular target. The due date was 4th June 2020. As at 5th June when I checked my account there was no money. I called the Sterling Bank Customer care on 5th June and I was told I will be credited within 24hrs. Since 5th June till date I am yet to get my savings that was due to paid to me since 4th. I have called them 8 times yet they keep saying it will be resolved within 24hrs and I sent mails but they didn’t respond to my mails.

Today 11th June 2020, I visited Sterling Bank at Matori, Mushin Lagos to request for my money but I was told they have network issue. I spent close to 4 hours there and they could only say they have network problem. While in the Bank, I called customer care to inform them but they told me they are working on it. I feel scammed by Sterling Bank and I want everyone to know that they are not reliable. This is my second bad experience with them within 2 weeks.

I just tried to move my business account to Starling. What a nightmare. To open account with them you need to:
    – send a video of youself reading sentence.
    – send a contract between you and a customers
    – send your qualifications.
    – tell them exactly what you do and where the money are coming from.

The way i see it. Non of this is any of their business.

    - CONS: They are demanding data they are not entitled to.

They won’t get away with this fraud! File an official case against them if you can, banks think they can steal money from innocent people. Sterling Bank has $hitty customer service, my online friend had an account with them and he wanted to do a transfer. However, these guys never really got to him and somehow the money just disappeared from his account. I don’t know the exact details but it does seem likely that Sterling Bank has been taking money out of their users’ a/c without informing them. I have shared this post with my friends, let’s see if Sterling Bank accepts their faults and repay or not.

+ PROS: Big & popular bank
    - CONS: TAKE MONEY FROM A/C without authorization
