Of all other possible places, they decide to setup their Lithium Ion Battery recycling plant in Endicott,NY.
SungEel MCC Americas is I believe owned by or partnered with a Korean company SungEel. They are proudly announcing that this is the first Lithium Ion Battery recycling plant in the US that aims to salvage precious metals from old, used batteries. It sounds amazing enough and quite impressive when I first heard about it. But the more I looked into it, research coming from several sources indicate that having the byproducts of the process leak onto water, soil and air may cause serious and long-term negative effects on animals and humans!

This, being the first, leaves me the impression that Endicott is in the risk of being the lab rat for this experiment should things go south.
