Trained in Mayo Clinic, Dr. Arthur Cambiero claims to be the best plastic surgeon in Las Vegas. He also claims to listen attentively to his patients and help them choose the perfect solution.
At SurgiSpa Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery, he offers various procedures related to the breast and face including breast revision, breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, brow lift, facelift, rhinoplasty, and lip lift.
He also performs body enhancement procedures such as mommy makeover, liposuction, body lift, labiaplasty, and tummy tuck.
But can you trust his claims? According to the various reviews on Dr. Cambiero, you can’t.
His reviewers claim that he doesn’t listen to them and complain about his lack of care for what they want.
Poor Injection of Lip Fillers Forced the Client to Get it Painfully Dissolved, Not Worth the Price
Moni points out that she liked the office and the staff initially. But her experience with Dr. Cambeiro wasn’t very good as her lip fillers migrated. So, she had to get them dissolved through a painful and expensive procedure and get a refill from another place. She points out that the prices of this clinic seemed attractive to her but she wouldn’t go back there.
Client Paid $400+ for a Failed Botox Procedure
The above reviewer shares that she went in for Botox as her birthday present but it didn’t work. She called after two weeks hoping they would fix the issue before the holidays. But the clinic told her that the nurse wouldn’t return before January 16th.
Botox shorts are chemical injected in facial muscles to reduce the movement of skin, resulting in reduced wrinkles. Botox is often misunderstood as a treatment to hide wrinkles, on contrary is a technique to reduce the occurrence of wrinkles.
Frustrated, she called to have an appointment with the doctor and when she returned to the clinic they told her that there was no guarantee the Botox would work. Then, Dr. Cambeiro got mad at her and said he wasn’t making any money on Botox. The touch up didn’t do anything either.
Even though the reviewer paid the clinic more than $400 for the procedure, she didn’t get any results. She went to the clinic twice and received disappointing results both times. Moreover, the clinic tried to shift the blame on her.

SurgiSpa Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Botched a Lip Filler Procedure
Bella shares that it was the worst place she has gone to. When she pointed out that her lips look the same after getting the fillers, he said, “Don’t think I would give you a free syringe.” She points out that the product is on the side of her lips and she didn’t want anything for free. Bella highlights that she had paid for the procedure and the results were very dissatisfactory. Moreover, the product should have lasted for at least 6 to 9 months but it only lasted for one.
Dr. Arthur Cambeiro Botched Multiple Procedures Giving Lumpy Eyelids and a Poor Chin
Florence had three procedures with Dr. Cambeiro, eyelid surgery, Smart Lip with Profound on the chin and jaw, and three Pico facials. Initially, she found the results of her eyelid surgery marginally satisfactory. However, two years and three months later, she saw no improvement in her results and shares that her eyelids are still lumpy and hooded.
The 3 pico facials didn’t do much and there were visible brown spots left on her face. When she shared her dissatisfaction with these results, Arthur replied by saying “Well it took you a lot of years to grow them.”
The profound procedure Arthur had performed on her neck left a minor rooster’s crown hanging from her chin. Florence points out that she would have to undergo a mini neck lift to fix this problem.
She paid the clinic $17,500 for these procedures and her results didn’t improve even after two years. Hence, she updated the rating she gave to this clinic from 3 stars to 2 stars.
Dr. Cambeiro Doesn’t Listen to the Client During Consultations, Rushes Appointments
Gaby shares that she had to wait for 2 hours and a half hours when she had arrived at her scheduled time. However, she didn’t get much irritated because she understood that the doctor might be busy.
Before she went in for the consultation, the front desk staff asked her about the procedure she wanted. Gaby had already made it clear with another staff member that she was only there for a consultation and not for treatment. She shared the same with the front desk staff and they responded with “Ok, let me get the treatment ready for you.” Obviously, they didn’t hear what Gaby said.
When Dr. Cambeiro came into the room the first thing he asked Gaby was “We have met before, right?” She answered with a no and then he said “Well like we discussed before, we will do the filler but it wouldn’t work on your dark eyes so you might need surgery.”
Gaby was shocked with this response. She said “Didn’t you listen to me. This is my FIRST time in your office.” It took Dr. Arthur Cambeiro 3-5 minutes to understand that this was Gaby’s first visit to his clinic.
What’s worse is that Gaby couldn’t even ask him about anything. He was in a hurry and Gaby says she understands he’s a busy surgeon but she didn’t even get to discuss any treatments.
He left the appointment by saying that he has to cater to another patient. Gaby points out that she wouldn’t give her face to a doctor that didn’t hear anything she said. He told her to get a product but didn’t specify how much and how to use it. Gaby ends her review by saying that she would never go to this clinic again.
Client Complained About the Terrible Aftercare, Clinic Started Insulting Her in Their Response
In her original review, Amy pointed out that picking Dr. Arthur Cambeiro as her plastic surgeon was a horrible decision. She paid $10,000 for an abdominal procedure which was a disaster and Dr. Cambeiro’s bedside manner was terrible.
She had 300+ stitches, 2 giant drains and 50+ staples when she woke up from the procedure. Then, the surgical assistant told her that they don’t have the right kind of support garment and suggested using Spanx. Amy says you should only try putting on Spanx over staples if you’re into S & M.
Clearly, she was in no condition to go to a medical supply store but the clinic didn’t care. They told her to go to a medical supply store to get the necessary support. She points out that she was in tears while she tried getting out of Spanx and she could’ve taken care of the “support problem” if they had informed her of this prior to the procedure.
Then again, one would assume that a $10,000 payment would cover a proper support garment which the clinic had promised it would.
On her first follow up visit, the office staff highlighted that one of her drains was loose and she would have to talk to Dr. Cambeiro about it. But when Amy shared this concern with Dr. Cambeiro and highlighted that it was giving her a lot of pain compared to other drains, he responded with a professional version of “tough luck”.
Moreover, he didn’t do anything about the loose drain. Amy ended her original review by saying that she only posted this complaint so no one else would have to go through this.
Updated Complaint:
SurgiSpa Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery had responded to this complaint by saying that they are happy the procedure went well. Also, they said that they couldn’t identify her as a patient and said that she was morbidly obese. The response was insulting to say the least.
Amy updated her review to respond to such an insulting rebuttal. She says that if the clinic wanted to bully her into removing her complaint, they failed because she wouldn’t.
Amy had lost over 120 lbs and wasn’t morbidly obese. In their response, SurgiSpa Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery had alleged that she had a yeast infection around her genitals. Amy points out that none of it’s true. The clinic’s response was only to insult her so much that she would take down her complaint.
This is a common tactic among shady doctors and clinics. They would post insults and claim that the reviewer is lying. For example, Dr. Stile is a Las Vegas-based plastic surgeon who starts calling you a liar if you post a negative review on his clinic.
Amy highlights that the surgery wasn’t an issue, it was the aftercare that bothered her. She points out that Medicare provides a free garment for this surgery to its patients and all it takes is for a doctor’s office to look out for its clients.
She forwarded a copy of Arthur’s reply to her complaint to the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners in Reno.

The reviewer had a mommy makeover with a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. Before she had paid the clinic, their behavior was great. But she started facing a lot of issues after the surgeries.
Her right breast never dropped and in her follow-up consultation, Dr. Cambeiro said that he should’ve made the pocket bigger. He also pointed out that she would need to pay for another surgery to fix the issue.
The reviewer didn’t have the funds to get another surgery so she lived for several years with “very” lopsided breasts. She points out that she had to use special bras with extra pads and heavy shirts to hide her breasts. One nipple is placed significantly higher than the other.
It has been a very painful experience for the reviewer. The tummy tuck left a huge scar on her stomach. In her follow up visit, they had to dig out multiple stitches as they had gone under the skin because of swelling. It left a lot of visible scarring that she can’t get rid of.
However, the scars don’t cause her as much daily grief as the breasts do. She points out that her breasts make her uncomfortable in her own skin every day.
Lastly, she talks about the pain control at this clinic. The reviewer is a registered nurse and points out that she has learned a lot about pain control. Turns out, SurgiSpa Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery is horrible at pain control. As an OB/GYN nurse, the reviewer has seen a lot of women undergo c-sections through proper pain control.
The pain control Dr. Cambeiro gave her was ridiculous. When she said she doesn’t want to undergo surgery with such little pain control, he said “Well, you won’t get a refill from me.” It made her very sad that she had to fight the pain herself.
Lip Fillers Gave Uneven Lips and Breast Augmentation Resulted in Large Visible Scars
Bianca had a breast augmentation procedure and lip fillers at this clinic. Her mother also had fillers on her cheeks to take out her nasolabial folds. The nurse had told Bianca’s mother that the $800 filers would fix the issue but even after two months, no change has occurred.
Bianca points out that the lip fillers made her lips uneven as the right side is fuller than the left. When she returned to the clinic and complained about the uneven results, they told her that the nurse was gone and they had made an error while scheduling her appointment. So, she had to go back the following morning and meet with Dr. Cambeiro.
According to Bianca, Dr. Arthur Cambeiro is extremely unprofessional. He aurgued with her for half an hour telling her that they could dissolve the filler in the right side of her lips to match with the left. Bianca didn’t want that because it would defeat the purpose of getting fillers. Then, he told her that she would have to buy another syringe to even out her lips and argued a bit more.
Bianca shares that returning to this clinic after a botched breast augmentation procedure was a huge mistake. That procedure left large visible scars under her breasts. However, the clinic offered to give her free scar removal cream if she agreed to post a (fake) positive review.
She says she will never recommend this clinic to anyone.
Botched Breast Lift and Augmentation Left a Huge Scar and Delivered Disappointing Results
The reviewer had breast implants and understood that her surgery might be significant because she had breast-fed 4 kids. However, Dr. Cambeiro had assured her that he would perform a lift and place a well-sized implant.
The reviewer and Arthur had agreed to 600cc as the right implant size. After the surgery, she was happy to know that Arthur placed 650cc implants which were bigger than she expected. Initially, she wanted the largest 800cc implants but was happy with the size.
Even though a year and a half has passed since the surgery, she has a large and half an inch wide scar on her anchor lift. Also, there’s a ridge on her lower left nipple which the clinic had told her would smooth out but didn’t.

Dr. Arthur Cambeiro Has Terrible Bedside Manner and Doesn’t Listen to You
Lily had gone in for a consultation at SurgiSpa Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery. While she liked the training and credentials of Dr. Cambeiro, she didn’t like his behavior at all. She points out that he is rude, only responds with a yes or no without giving any explanation and doesn’t listen properly. Also, Dr. Cambeiro lacks empathy.
She says that if he can’t listen to her concerns and answer her questions, how can she even trust him with her body. Lily says that she’s certain he can’t deliver what the patient wants because he simply doesn’t listen to what they want.
Also, she points out that he wanted her to undergo unnecessary procedures to make more money off of her. She says that he doesn’t have to give misleading information just to make a buck.

As you must have noticed in this review, SurgiSpa Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery has received countless complaints because of their poor service and expertise. However, their BBB rating is A+.
With so many issues in their service and skills, how do they enjoy a perfect BBB rating? They do so, by paying BBB a hefty annual fee.
SurgiSpa Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery is a BBB accredited business. Contrary to popular belief, businesses get BBB accreditations by paying an annual fee that goes upwards of $10,000.
CNN Money had conducted a detailed investigation on this matter. They found that companies facing charges of discrimination had A+ ratings on BBB only because they were paying the review platform.
Their investigation found that some of the “BBB accredited” companies were scams and had faced regulatory action. Yet, they enjoyed A+ rating on BBB.
Note that having BBB accreditation also gives a business more control over their BBB page. This might be why there are no reviews on the BBB page of SurgiSpa Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Arthur Cambeiro isn’t the only doctor who uses this tactic. IVF Plano is a notorious fertility clinic that uses this exact tactic to mislead consumers into thinking it’s a reliable service provider.
SurgiSpa Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Review Conclusion
After going through the various reviews and complaints people have posted against this clinic, it’s obvious it’s not a good place. The surgeon has botched numerous procedures and likes to insult clients if they share their complaints online.
Moreover, the clinic doesn’t know much about time management and clients end up waiting for 2+ hours even when they arrive at the scheduled time.
Luckily, Nevada is home to many plastic surgeons. You don’t have to stick to an option that resorts to disrespecting clients after botching the procedure.
My niece went to Surgispa cosmetic and plastic surgery a few years ago for botox and they didn’t inject it properly. When she complained about it they didn’t do anything nor did they accept their fault.
She was lucky she didn’t get anything else here or she’d be stuck with something worse or permanent. I don’t recommend this clinic.
