“They Lie to You so You will Get Unnecessary Procedures”

The Fertility Center of Las Vegas review

Corey had a terrible experience with this clinic. He shares that everything the people here want to do is to tell you what’s wrong. In most cases they tell the man that his sperm is defective and never give an explanation how they found out the same.

Corey points out that all the people at The Fertility Center of Las Vegas want you to go on IVF, which is not suitable for the average person. If IVF fails you’d have lost $20,000. He shares that the clinic had told him that his sperm was defective. But his wife got pregnant the old fashioned way without requiring any outside help.

He also highlights that he’s paying a bill that he’s not responsible for because FCLV refuses to bill his insurance.

Lied About the Client’s Sperm Count, Tried to Steal Funds

The Fertility Center of Las Vegas review

Todd had a terrible experience with this place. He says that they are a bunch of greedy and selfish scam artists. His wife tested almost perfect in the fertility tests her OB/GYN had performed. Then, they referred her to this place.

The clinic checked Todd’s sperm and told him that his sperm count was too low to have a natural birth. They told him that the only option available to him was to get IVF. He said that their diagnosis caused him a lot of confusion because he had a son with his ex-girlfriend so he and his wife were lost for words.

Moreover, his son was 11 years old at the time so he thought that the diagnosis was true. But this made him question if the son was truly his or not and he had to get a paternity test.

It put him through a lot of emotional turmoil, as you can imagine.

Later, the clinic offered them in-house financing for the IVF process and they agreed. However, Todd shares that he and his wife had to travel for some personal reasons and while traveling their bank told them that the clinic was running their credit for their “in-house” financing.

He also shared that the staff ignored any questions his wife asked and rushed through every interaction. Todd points out all of these things prompted him to get a second opinion from a different clinic.

Turns out, Todd had a healthy sperm count. He shares that FCLV had hurt him tremendously and no other person had hurt him and his wife this much before.

Forced the Client to Pick a Particular Embryo Profile

The Fertility Center of Las Vegas review

Sam had a terrible experience with the Fertility Center of Las Vegas. They thought this clinic had a good program but were mistaken. First they saw Dr. Dachmund but he left. However, he made Sam take estrogen during a cycle without progesterone which they share can cause cancer. It led to many issues and the cycle was cancelled.

Sam shares that they were devastated.

Then, they decided to go with this clinic again and Sam adds that they should have never done so. They met with Dr. Shapiro who seemed nice at first. He suggested going with embryo donation but it was strange because the clinic offered three profiles to choose from. Sam picked out a profile but they received a call a week later from the clinic to inform them that the profile wasn’t available and it was a clerical mistake.

Hence, Sam was forced to pick one embryo profile. They went through the transfer and it ended in a miscarriage. Later, they opted to go with an out-of-state facility and called FCLV to request outside monitoring and possible FET. But the clinic denied their request very rudely and said that they can no longer get services through them.

The clinic didn’t give any explanation for this. Sam shares that it was very unethical and possibly illegal for them to do something like this.

Didn’t Track Appointments, Poor Communication, Rushed Everything

The Fertility Center of Las Vegas review

Justin had a bad experience with the entire facility. The first consultation seemed rushed and the doctors suggested doing two very expensive tests that checked for the exact same thing.

One day the clinic called them an hour before their appointment for a test and said they had to cancel. They told Justin that the equipment had been down for a week but failed to let him know an hour before the appointment.

Moreover, the clinic couldn’t keep track of his appointments. One staff member would call him and confirm the time, then a few hours later someone else from the clinic would give them a call to ask them why they hadn’t scheduled anything.

Also, the clinic would take days to return calls even when it was for time-sensitive tests.

Then, the clinic sent Justin to an external laboratory that wasn’t in his insurance network. Moreover, the clinic didn’t inform them of this and they found out by getting an explanation of benefits from their insurance saying they wouldn’t pay for it. Justin owed them $1500.

Overall, Justin shares that the people at the Fertility Center of Las Vegas don’t care about their clients.

  1. This fertility clinic has a history of misdiagnosis and overcharging its clients, indicating that Dr. Shapiro runs a corrupt clinic.

  2. Patients such as James MM stated in the reviews that these clinics attempt to establish a monopoly by imposing double pricing for fertility clinics in comparison to other clinics. The staff was pleasant and responsive to their patients, but in terms of cost, they are not a reliable platform for reproductive procedures.

Arlynn’s story was so relatable because I have been to this clinic and felt the same way.

Dr. Shapiro is very nice but the billing process here is horrible. You’d think with the amount of fees they charge, they would be better at invoicing. But nope, they fail even at the basics of running a clinic.

I have no problems with Dr. Shapiro but the clinic iS HORRIBLE.

  4. It’s difficult to say, but these clinics should do what’s best for their patients and not overcharge them while they try to lower their pricing so everyone can utilize them.

  5. I don’t think this place is safe for women after reading all the reviews that are pasted into the article. Now, I’m so grateful to the article’s author for putting it out there and letting people know about these kinds of problems.

  6. If the clinic gives the wrong diagnosis, the higher medical body has to keep an eye on these clinics and try to bring serious charges against them.

  7. People like Bruce Shapiro operate these types of clinics not to provide medical services, instead, they overcharge patients in an attempt to earn more money. People paid a great deal of money for these types of procedures, but they did not achieve the desired outcomes.

  8. I don’t understand, why clinics asking for more money from patients and giving false reports to the patients. On what basis they are claiming the extra money? It is better to check the medical history of the clinic and the doctors, as they are reliable and give accurate reports or not.

  9. My request to the clients is to make them expose and let your problem be solved legally, the government needs to take stricter actions against these scammers for making them realize their mistakes.

    • Yeah, I agree with you that these types of people should be exposed in society and the government has to take some strict measures regarding this, as thousands of people came under the trap of these fraudsters.

  10. Avoid visiting these fraudsters, waste of money, the only thing they know is how to get your money and make them suffer for their scams, this is the main problem with these scammers they aren’t interested in providing the services to their people even after taking the money.

  11. The cost of going for an IVF is very high, around $20,000 which is not affordable for everyone, so make sure your money is not wasted behind these scammers, most people are getting scammed by them.

  12. This clinic is providing the worst services and looting their clients, many of the reviews claimed that their way of treatment is awful and not clean and to the point, their main business is to promote their clinic with all the fake promotions and attract their clients, for providing them the unwanted fear and loss too.

  13. The second paragraph contains a line, they are making the wrong diagnoses by recommending expensive treatment, which is really cheap and crosses all the limits of fraud.

Dr. Bruce Shapiro is the most vile and unethical doctor I have ever met.
He would lie to your face just so he can recommend you a few more of his expensive treatments.

My husband and I had the most stressful experience at the “Fertility Center of Las Vegas”.
    These people are inhumane.

I would never recommend them to anyone. Not even my enemy.
