Think Energy Plus is the latest Ponzi scheme launched by Michael Fallquist. Before you consider investing in this MLM scam, it’s important to understand its various aspects as well as its deceptive marketing claims.

You can help us put a stop to online scams before they grow too big and end up ruining thousands of lives. A scam is a scam, doesn’t matter if it’s big or small. Now that this is out of the way, let’s get started with the review.

Think Energy Plus is a pyramid scheme launched by a serial scammer. Avoid investing with them.

On its website, Think Energy omits to list ownership or executive details. The domain name for the Think Energy Plus website was privately registered on November 18, 2022. Additional investigation reveals marketing materials for Think Energy that list Michael Fallquist as the organization’s founder and CEO.

23/11/2023 Update
As of now, Think Energy Plus has not responded nor has it apologized for its misdeeds. They have ignored our efforts to highlight the problems faced by their victims. Furthermore, they have only focused on propagating their fake PR.

It’s not clear why Think Energy Plus’s website doesn’t include this data. Fallquist was the brainchild behind Crius Energy and Viridian when I first stumbled across him.

The MLM Viridian provided utility services. Listed as a “strategic partner” was Crius Energy. Paul Booth served as the CEO of Viridian Energy, while Fallquist served as the CEO of Crius. The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority of Connecticut said in 2015 that it will be examining Viridian’s contracts, contract renewals, customer notice policies, and enrollment procedures.

In Maryland, a consumer class-action lawsuit was also brought against Viridian and Crius Energy in that same year.

Customers were allegedly charged “four or five times the underlying market rate” by Viridian and Crius. Viridian declared towards the close of 2017 that it would stop operating its MLM business by March 2018. Viridian paid $5 million to resolve “deceptive marketing & sales techniques” claims made by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office in March 2018.

The previously mentioned consumer class action was settled by Viridian for $18.5 million in June 2018. Early in 2019, Crius Energy was sold to Vistra after employment layoffs.

As CEO of Griddy Pro starting in December 2020, Fallquist made a comeback to the utilities MLM sector. Griddy Pro advertised savings using a variable rate to consumers in Texas. The caveat was that customers had to monitor the rate.

With complaints of “unbelievable electricity bills” in February 2021, Griddy Pro started to fail.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas “revoked Griddy’s permission to enter the state’s electricity market” later that same month.

A billion-dollar class-action lawsuit against Griddy Pro was also filed around the same time.

A month later, in March 2021, Griddy Pro and its parent firm Griddy both filed for bankruptcy.

Think Energy Plus appears to have been introduced by Fallquist in or about December 2022.

What are MLM Scams?

MLM scams involve various criminal behaviors. MLM companies pay commissions to individuals who directly sell their products or services to customers. These individuals also receive commissions for recruiting others to sell for the company. This type of business structure can lead to fraudulent activities such as making false claims about financial compensation or health benefits.

Think Energy Plus Products

The US states where Think Energy operates include Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Washington, DC. Think+ is connected to Think Energy.

Rates vary dependent on suppliers and location within these states, just like with any MLM utility business.

The Think Energy website offers quotes after a postcode is entered. I entered a few random postcodes from the regions where Think Energy provides services out of curiosity.

The Compensation Plan for Think Energy Plus

The remuneration structure for Think Energy Plus is based on client referrals for power. Retail customers or recruited affiliates may be among these clients.

If you have sensitive information or have had a personal experience with Think Energy Plus but want to stay anonymous, then submit it using our secured form. You can connect with our expert contributors and help in finding the truth. We never share your information with 3rd parties.

Noteworthy is the “Free Energy Club” initiative that Think Energy Plus provides.

  • Customers who recommend three friends are given a 10% rate break.
  • Customers who recommend ten friends get a 40% pricing reduction.
  • Customers get a 100% discount on their prices if they refer twenty friends.

The following are the many elements of Think Energy Plus’s compensation scheme that are impacted by the Free Energy Club:

  • The exclusion of Customer Enrollment Bonuses
  • 25% less is paid in residual personal customer commissions.
  • Initial Generation Bonuses are not paid; instead, monthly Generation Bonuses are paid at a rate of 25%.
  • Initial Coded Bonuses are not paid, and monthly Coded Bonuses are paid at a rate of 25%.
  • New clients do not contribute to Partner Pool Pay; instead, monthly Partner Pool payments are paid at a rate of 25%.

Conclusion

As the cost of electricity rises, Michael Fallquist established Think Energy Plus to profit from disgruntled customers. Think Energy websites are openly misleading. You may view your rates by entering your postcode. Even with “not available” problems, it is how Think Energy Plus is supposed to operate.

This contributes to the remuneration structure of Think Energy Plus, which streamlines commissions across three consumption categories and community solar. It should be noted that community solar is listed on Think Energy’s website as “coming soon” at the time of writing.

Utility MLM compensation systems have historically been extremely difficult to understand. Utility rates between different suppliers account for the majority of this. Though Think Energy Plus avoids it, its compensation scheme is presented in a godawful way.

Think+ separates each component rather than providing an explanation, up-front costs, and ongoing costs for each. As an example, you first get a description of the bonus for the Partner Pool. You then get the first payment made. The remaining monthly donation comes last. The counterparts of all the other Think+ commissions and bonuses are placed between these. As a result, to understand anything, you must scroll up and down. This won’t make any sense to the typical prospect.

Commission Chart

Think Energy Plus mlm

In that regard, Think+ stumbles in its marketing. The good news is that this can be fixed with ease. Simply arrange the commissions and bonuses differently.

Whilst it may appear that I’m complaining in my capacity as a reviewer, the unclear reward plan presentation affects how Think+ is sold to potential affiliates. The possibility for Think+ to function as a pyramid scheme is one regulatory warning sign. Think+ doesn’t make a distinction between affiliate and retail clients. This is often a concern, but since MLM utility firms are tough to advertise as recruitment schemes, it rarely becomes one.

Instead of the $99 annual fee, commissions are based on actual energy usage. Indeed, Think+ is a pyramid scheme if the bulk of its consumers are affiliates. Yet historically, utility-based MLM businesses haven’t had a problem with this. The last point I’ll make is that Fallquist must take responsibility for his history. Whilst I could be incorrect, I believe Fallquist’s past is the main reason Think+ doesn’t offer executive information.

These errors must be acknowledged because it doesn’t seem good for an MLM organization to promote itself as a nameless corporation. Moreover, there might later be disclosure difficulties with the FTC. Fallquist is listed as Energywell’s co-CEO and director. You undoubtedly want to make sure that inputting your postcode and performing a rate comparison is as simple as a potential Think+ affiliate.

There are just three usage categories in addition to community solar. It shouldn’t be difficult to determine whether Think Energy is competitive. This is crucial because it will serve as your main marketing tool for acquiring new clients. Hopefully, there will be savings. Moreover, keep an eye out for anything that seems dishonest; given Fallquist’s record, this would be an immediate red signal.

Isn’t it interesting that all responses are dated the same date. Erroneous information such as $400 investment is completely wrong. Sounds like an ignorant supposed group of people just trying to trash a company they don’t really know anything about.

Horrible service received by Thik+. They are not providing any service to their clients. I’m unable to withdraw my money. Anyone who knows anything about how to get money back from this website please help me. Customer care didn’t respond to my emails and they charge me a higher amount when I use any of the services. This platform didn’t mention the particular charge or amount at the time when they were telling about the particular schemes to its investors.
    Beware of these scammers.

It is rightly said that Curiosity pulls people into scams. My husband had invested in this scheme. He got attracted to the fake schemes rate of return which they are providing. Without taking any measures and proper research about this site he puts all his money into this platform. After the first withdrawal, the company didn’t allow him to withdraw the rest of the amount. A week later he had to face a problem in login. He is unable to login into the website. He lost his $XXXX in this scam.
He makes the biggest mistake while doing an investment in this website. This website is a pile of rubbish and never worth it to its investors.

A friend of mine had invested in this scheme. He has no experience in trading. But he wants to earn money from this source. He puts all his money and started to imagine that he would have great profit while investing in this source but he gets nothing at last because the site is not working properly and he is unable to get his claim amount. He suffers a loss of $800. Now he never invested in any sources. I suggest never investing your money in this source otherwise you have to bear heavy losses.

Stop putting your money in this scam. They are thieves who steal the money of many peoples. Many potential victims lose lots of money in this scam. This scam started a promotion with the help of their pupped review writers who gave him a positive rating and by reading positive reviews of the company people started believing them and investing their money into their pyramid scheme and they get nothing in return. This type of tactic was applied all over the world. If you are invested in this company try to come out from this source or else it is very hard to recover the amount.

Please don’t waste your time here. This scheme is not economical for investors. When I logged the complaint on this website. I’m unable to withdraw my money and unable to get money or a bonus. I got no reply from this website and lost my money. They took my $400 and now they are putting up hurdles still waiting for my money. Don’t judge them by their fraudulent schemes otherwise, you will be the next on their list.
Invest in those sources which provide you better returns and with effective and efficient methods of investments with proper accountability.

The world is full of scammers who are here to make wealth by cheating naive people. I had been dealing with these fraudsters many times. These fraudsters hired people to track those investors who know nothing about investments. The hired people started doing spam calls and asking vulnerable investors to invest in their shady deals.
Keep away from these fraudsters apart from them try to invest in some reliable source.

My daughter had invested in Think+. And thinking that she will be doing an amazing move while investing in this platform but in reality, she feels guilty. This source scammed my daughter and never receive a single amount from this website.
I want that the regulatory authority would take some action on this company and reveal the faces of the people who are doing this type of activity in the market and doesn’t follow the rules and regulations of the higher authority. One message I would give to investors is that think well before investing in any sources in the market.

An MLM scam is a scam that ruined the life of many people. By this source, they were stealing the money of many peoples by telling you about the different advantages of fraudulent schemes. I’m also a victim of these fraud schemes and I’m come here to make not to lose money but they didn’t care about investors’ interests. They all were doing sharp practice to their investors and not letting their clients withdraw money from their sources. This company has to return me about $300 and I never paid for the last 9 months.
Stay away from Think plus or else get ready to lose your money.

I made the biggest mistake while investing in this site. This site is not worth it and not trustworthy at any cost. They started using your money as a source of income without informing you. Working with Think plus was not up to the mark. The process of dealing with them is complicated. They hired unprofessional people into their company and you will get cheated while investing in this particular source. I’m very blissful that I had invested a little portion of my saving into this scam. So, I bear some losses as compared to losses which were faced by other people while trading with them.

I faced lots of problems while believing in this source for investments. Whenever I asked them for the bonus that they were promising me at the time of issuing me this scheme, They simply started showing me invalid messages on the website. Whenever I opened the websites, the site is not working properly. The terms and conditions which they told me about while they offered me the scheme and when I invested money in this particular company it will never work it. While using this site I would give a one-star rating because this site does not deserve a five-star rating.

They were using different cunning activities to fool their people. Don’t believe these fraudsters. These schemes were run by various fake commercial instruments and gives you various fake MLM schemes. This company not paying me the proper installments I had been waiting for my installment. But the company is not giving any response to me and showing me nothing on their website. I don’t understand the execution of their schemes or how they were paid to their investors or customers. They don’t have proper management who can deal with their payment system. This site misguides you. They only focus on the rise in prices.
People are not aware of these scams in the market and started investing in these types of schemes. Users who wanted to invest in this platform try to invest at their own risk because once they get they never give you back.

This company is not a liable source of investments. They were providing fraud schemes to their clients. I found them to be inefficient, and unobliging and they show no transparency to their investors. This company promises to provide monthly bonus rates but they are unable to do that. This company attracts new clients and makes more money through this technique. They are showing dishonesty and unethical behavior to their clients.
I got a bad experience while investing in this company. I suffer a loss of $XXX and it is very hard to recover money from this source. This source is unsatisfactory to its investors.
Try to invest your saving in some reliable source that would give a better return.
Otherwise, you will suffer a lot while investing in this fake scheme.

Think Energy Plus is an MLM scam. This website ensures that they will pay you a higher interest rate but only do this to raise the demand for their scheme. I invested in their scheme still everything was not explained I couldn’t make an informed decision on how I wanted to invest my hard-earned money in. And I’m very dissatisfied with this scheme.
I’m warning you never to invest in this ponzi scam. These schemes are structured in a way to convert the money of the investors into their wealth.
    Avoid dealing with them.
