Jaro Education: A Scam
Govind Uvach, a personal blogger wrote an article on the scam by Jaro Education in which he exposed Jaro Education and saved the career and money of a lot of students. He claimed that Jaro Education is not an online program but it is a commercial agency that is distributing fake degrees to students. He said that Jaro Education tried to pull down the article 3 times, but he republished it again and again
The personal blogger further says that Jaro is unethical to society, students as well and its employees.
He elaborates his point of view by saying that Jaro Education claims to be a prestigious online B school in India, but there is no such concept of an online B School in India, people usually pursue an MBA to get higher posts in a reputed organization. It is a commercial agent and it has nothing to do with education and training
Jaro Education claims to offer MBA from some reputed institutes from around the world. It includes:
- PGDM from NMIMS University: According to the UGC and DEB norms, NMIMS University is a deemed University, it cannot provide a diploma outside its campus, and if it does it will have to conduct exams at its campus. NMIMS itself does not consider its diploma.
- URAL University: It is a well-ranked university in Russia, but India does not recognize distance learning from any institute outside India, and for pursuing a full-time degree abroad University Grants Commission’s approval is mandatory.
- Ulyanovsk University: It is also a well-ranked and well-known university in Russia, but Jaro Education is a private organization so it cannot seek University Grants Commission (UGC) approval.
- Bharathiar University: Bharathiar University is a famous university in Tamil Nadu with NAAC A accreditation, but anyone can get direct admission in the university.
- Alliance University: Alliance University is neither a reputed university nor an accredited one, and most importantly it does not offer MBA
These proofs show that Jaro Education is a scam and its sole plan is to take money from students and provide fake certifications.
Apart from that Jaro Education is unethical about its employees too.
This was sent to Govind Uvach by a former employee at Jaro Education who confirmed that the so called online degree provider is nothing but just a commercial company whose sole purpose is to make money by fooling students, the former employee emphasized that he is being threatened by the Jaro Education management.
He said that as soon as Govind’s blog about the scam by Jaro Education came out, the employees were asked to write positive reviews about Jaro Education.
No doubt, Jaro is a big education corruption and highly unethical organization.

A Ponzi scheme is a criminal deception investing fraud pledging increased rates of interest with less chance of loss to investors. On the other hand, a Ponzi scam is a deceitful investing fraud that induces retrievals for earlier investors with money carried from later investors.
Is this Another Scam?
A Person on the website DegreeInfo, put up his query that Jaro Education is offering a part-time MBA program from Ulyanovsk University but the online degree provider is from Mumbai, Republic of India.
So, is it a scam?
It is a scam as the University Grants Commission does not approve anyone to have a part-time degree from any foreign university.
What the customers say on Jaro Education
The reviews by the customers are enough to expose Jaro Education.
The first review states that Jaro Education is a scam, it looted crores of money as per as professional training is concerned. He requested not to fall prey to such scams, he said these people will influence you to sign, and as soon as you sign you will be cheated. They will not keep their promise.
In another review, the customer stated that he did not want to give a single rating to Jaro Education, but 1 is the minimum, he said that he wants everyone to avoid these types of institutes, and should try to directly enroll in the university or college concerned. He said they falsely took my sign and now he feels stuck. So, to save our academic year, we should never fall prey to such luring acts or talks.
Another user said that he had the worst experience, they loot students, he exclaimed. They provided false information and wrong details was another such allegation on Jaro Education.
He requested people to beware of such scams.
A reviewer said that this company is really bad, they are taking children’s money, luring people in the name of higher education, and then too Google has placed them in the list of top 10
Another user wrote that they are very unprofessional people, they will harass you to pay more and more money and as soon as you pay them your hard earned money, they will discontinue the course, he further said that they are not associated with any university formally, they are middlemen who try to make people fool.
A review claimed that they make their employees work for 11 to 12 hours daily, and they treat them as donkeys. Even on Sundays, they are forced to work, just to earn profit. You will be fooled because that is what they do.
There is no culture in the organization, Juniors and Seniors behave as if they are in a College.
Another user wrote that Jaro Education is truly a scam they take your money and they want you to pay for their mistakes. They will blatantly lie to your face that they do not have a customer handling department. The reviewer further said that these people will not help you in any circumstances. He requested the people to approach the university directly without their intervention.
Lastly, another reviewer said that he felt cheated and had a bad experience. He said he lost 26000 INR for the worst online course, Counselors are liars, they will provide you with the reference number, and they will show some false rewards and certificates, which is part of their marketing strategy, he said the positive reviews are paid ones.
He requested not to waste money or time on such institutes.
Education Scams in India
Jaro Education Scam is not the first education scam in India. From time to time there have been many education scams.
Some of the education scams are as follows:
- Haryana Teachers’ Recruitment exam: Former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala(Indian National Lok Dal) and his son Ajay Singh Chautala have been convicted for 10 years in Teachers’ Recruitment Exam
- Vyapam Scam: India’s biggest medical education scam unearthed in Madhya Pradesh. Subsequently, many BJP Leaders were arrested.
- Madhya Pradesh Pre-Medical Test Scam
- Bokaro Steel Plant Recruitment Scam
- MBBS Seats Scam: Rajya Sabha MP Rasheed Mehmood( Ex Indian National Congress)has been convicted for 4 years in the MBBS Seats Scam.
Apart from this, private institutes offering online courses is also a scam.
They provide fake degrees, fake awards, and fake certifications to lure students to get admitted, and once admitted they take money.
There are many universities or colleges in India, especially in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh which are giving fake degrees and are not registered under the University Grants Commission(UGC) and NAAC, These small Colleges recruit Assistant Professors at a very low price and this is the reason that the students leave their College and start going to tuition.
The Government is responsible for this since the government is awake while closing its eyes.
The Government must take strict action against these private universities that are fooling people. Universities nowadays make Assistant Professors as Head of Department creating havoc in the Students’ life. This is the reason that after paying such hefty fees students do not get jobs. Education Scam is one of the biggest scams in India, the government must initiate some steps to reduce the burden on the students. These Private Universities are cancer in society, they are good for nothing. Government should take strict action against the fraudulence and malpractices in private education institutes which are considered as the abode of the Goddess of Knowledge.
The government and its machineries like UGC, AICTE, NAAC, NBA, PCI, and NAEAB are given responsibilities to maintain quality of education and research in higher education for that they are responsible to visit the universities and educational institutes and check the minimum requisite criteria and conditions.
But unfortunately, all goes in tricky ways. The fake data, fake for dummy faculty, fake certificates of, making Shift arrangement of Laboratory, fake attendance registrar, fake payscale all are shown by dint of wand of money.
The inspection team despite knowing the facts/truth gives a good ranking to these institutes.
This is the reason why the education system in India needs to be changed to avoid scams.
