South Bay Med Spa Torrance is a medical spa notorious for its horrible customer service and greedy leadership. The medspa has botched many procedures over the years and people are complaining about it.

The medical director of this place is Dr. Behzad Noorian. She has been practicing Internal Medicine for over 20 years.
Although South Bay Med Spa Torrance claims to offer excellent customer service, its clients disagree. The place has received a ton of complaints for lack of professionalism and poor business practices.

200+ Units of Dysport Gave No Results, Med Spa Took No Responsibility
Here, the reviewer says that her previous encounters with this medical spa were always good. However, her last three visits were terrible. She went in for a Dysport/Botox treatment for her forehead.
They recommended her to use Dysport as there was a special offer on it. The reviewer agreed and got around 140 units of the same. It was equivalent to 47 units of Botox which was more than the reviewer had ever gotten.
After the procedure, the reviewer waited for a few weeks. Yet, she didn’t see any results. So, she went back for a touch up. Usually, medical spas don’t charge for a touch up.
However, the people at South Bay Med Spa Torrance charged her for the full 69 units they used.
The reviewer shares that she had received over 200 units of Dysport or around 70 units of Botox, which is more than she has ever received. However, it didn’t cause any changes.
She called in there to share her concerns and made an appointment with them to fix the issue. When she arrived, the nurse told her that she needed a complete redo with 42 units of Botox.
The reviewer explained her situation and they offered to take $1 per CC off the costs. Then, the manager came out and told the reviewer that 2 months is the longest she should expect the Dysport to last.
However, the reviewer shares that her injections have always lasted for about 4 to 5 months.
She shares that she has spent over $600 but hasn’t received any results whatsoever. Because of this terrible experience, she doesn’t recommend this medspa.
Botched Laser Hair Removal and Horrible Customer Service
Lucy shares that she has been to different medspas and has worked with different kinds of hair removal technicians. Moreover, she has experience of working at medspas as a technician herself.
After her experience with this place, she doesn’t recommend South Bay Med Spa Torrance to anyone who wants hair removal of medspa quality. She points out that this place doesn’t even have proper counseling before starting the hair removal process.
Lucy had tried 2 technicians here and both of them were bad. The experienced one had the skills of an entry-level technician. She didn’t do any detailed work and failed to do the removal evently. The technician did 80% of Lucy’s left side and 20% of the right side.
Lucy highlights that it seemed like a kid was playing with a machine. The technician didn’t remove the hair properly. Lucy points out that the technician was impolite and lacked professionalism.
Then, she worked with another technician who looked like a college student. Although this one did a better job than the last one, she had a terrible bedside manner. Lucy shares that she wanted to quit and ask for a refund but they persuaded her to try 6 sessions.
All of them were a waste of time.
Lucy hopes that the medspa will work on these issues and focus on providing higher-quality services to its clients.
Unprofessionalism and Lack of Ethics in Business Practices
Mayra says that if she could, she would give this place 0 stars out of 5. It was her second time getting botox and had bought 20 units of Botox from Groupon. She waited for a long time past her appointment time.
Then, she met with the provider and told her that she was there for her horizontal forehead lines. However, the provider said no. She said to Mayra that she needed more than 20 units for her horizontal lines.
The provider said that she could do her vertical lines but Mayra didn’t have any of those.
Then, Mayra got off the chair and told the provider that she would cancel her groupon. Mayra highlights that South Bay Med Spa uses Groupon to lure people in. She saw a girl there who was under the impression that the doctor had used 1 syringe of the product but when she came out of the treatment, they told her that it was actually 2. Then, the medspa made the girl pay for 2 syringes when the doctor had clearly told her that they had only used 1.
Mayra says that this medical spa is extremely unprofessional and so, doesn’t recommend this place.
“South Bay Med Spa Torrance Has the Worst Customer Service”
Danielle had scheduled an appointment for her husband for a sun spot removal consultation and a facial.
Her husband arrived before the appointment and they rushed him out with a quick consultation. Moreover, they didn’t perform any facial. He asked them twice about the facial but they ignored him. So, he left.
Danielle shares that the visit was supposed to be a birthday gift for her husband. But South Bay Med Spa Torrance ruined it. Also, she had to set up the appointment through email because she couldn’t get through to them via phone call.
She recommends the medspa to work on its customer service.
South Bay Med Spa Torrance Didn’t Tell the Client About The Syringe Left for Her
Courtney had come here for filler but got lumps and bumps in her face. Certainly, she was not happy with her results.
Also, she had another syringe of filler left but no one bothered to tell her. She only found out about that syringe because when she returned, a different nurse opened 2 boxes of radiesse.
Courtney noticed this and remarked that it was weird. She told the nurse that the last nurse only opened one box so the nurse went to check the norse. There, the nurse discovered that the last nurse had only used 1 syringe and had 1 left.
Courtney was shocked to find out about this. She talked to the manager about it but it was to no avail. All in all, it was a horrible experience and Courtney doesn’t recommend this place.
Laser Hair Removal at South Bay Med Spa Torrance Yielded No Results
Sandra got her full face laser hair removal treatment here. She had bought a pack of 6 from Groupon and although she had paid a lower price for the procedure she didn’t think it was worth it.
That’s because she didn’t see any results after the procedure.
They had told her that she would start seeing results after her second or third session. However, nothing happened.
Sandra highlights that her sideburns and her stash are still there. Moreover, it should have worked perfectly well because she was the perfect candidate.
Also, she points out that most of the staff at South Bay Med Spa Torrance is very unprofessional. They discuss personal affairs in front of the patients. Sandra heard one of them talk about a patient right after she left the office.
Lastly, Sandra shares that she did experience some hair loss but it was on her eyebrows. She is livid about it because in every session, she had told the nurse to be careful around her eyebrows and not to get too close with them.
The nurse assured her that she wouldn’t get close but Sandra says that she felt the laser around her eyebrow.
Moreover, she couldn’t see to confirm it so she trusted her. Now, she has extremely sparse eyebrows.
Because of this terrible experience, she doesn’t recommend this medical spa. She won’t come back to this place because of their sheer unprofessionalism.
6 Sessions of Laser Hair Removal Delivered No Results, Not Even Reduction in Hair Growth
Lana says that the skin on her legs is terrible due to years of epilation and she feels very insecure about the same. So, she finally decided to do something about it and went to South Bay Med Spa Torrance.
She got 6 laser treatments for her legs and got 6 treatments for her underarms as well. Lana highlights that getting the treatments for her underarms was a huge mistake.
After 4 sessions, she didn’t see any results. There wasn’t any change in the hair growth as well.
Lana points out that her hair is already 1 millimeter long and thick 24 hours after saving. So, she is certain that spending money on these procedures was a waste of time.
Moreover, when they performed the treatment, Lana felt nothing. While it may not be a bad thing per se, there should have been at least some redness. After spending hundreds of dollars and waiting for months, Lana received 0 results.
Also, she highlights that she is the perfect candidate for laser hair removal as her hair is very dark while her skin is quite fair. She points out that she had previously treated more sensitive areas with laser hair removal and got amazing results. But that was in New York.
Here, she has only received disappointment.
Terrible Customer Service and Rude Front Desk Staff
Caroline says that the front desk staff needs a lot of work. She came here because a friend recommended this med spa to her. However, the receptionist barely reaches out her hand to take things from customers.
Caroline explains it like when the receptionist passed the clipboard, she had to reach all the way to grab the same.
If the distance would have been a lot, Caroline would have understood the issue. However, that was not the issue here. Caroline guesses that maybe the receptionist is simply lazy.
Also, the front desk staff can be quite rude to the customers. She saw the receptionist talking horribly with a client who claimed that her second treatment failed. The receptionist acted as if she was the nurse who performed the procedure.
Caroline suspects that South Bay Med Spa Torrance doesn’t focus much on customer service.
3 Different Visits Yet South Bay Med Spa Torrance Couldn’t Deliver
Jen had a poor experience with South Bay Med Spa Torrance. She had to visit the place 3 times to get the correct amount of units for her wrinkles. Now, after getting the product three times, she still has lines where she had specifically asked for the injections. That’s unacceptable.
Jen says that she gives up as she has used all the units she purchased in the promotion.
The nurse seemed nice but didn’t understand how many units Jen needed. Although it was her first time visiting the place, the technician should know how many units a person may need.
Also, the nurse appeared sloppy as if she had rolled out of the bed. Jen saw another nurse for her last 2 visits but she couldn’t get the right amount as well.
Jen highlights that she has been going to other medical spas for years and had never experienced such an issue before. She doesn’t recommend this place.
“Unprofessional, Unreasonable, Disgusting”
Amanda says that if she could give this place 0 stars out of 5, she would. She points out that the front desk staff and the office manager here are unbearable, unprofessional and unreasonable.
Amanda went in for a treatment there and thought the nurse was nice. However, the management wasn’t as kind. She had used a Groupon and added a few services to it. When she talked about it with the nurse, she gave her a quote and Amanda accepted it.
Then, the nurse performed the procedure and Amanda went to pay for the procedure. That’s when things took a turn for the worse.
The office manager started saying that the nurse didn’t know what she was doing and doubled the cost. Moreover, she told Amanda that if she didn’t pay up, she would call the cops on her. The office manager also alleged that Amanda was trying to manipulate her.
Amanda says that she had the ugliest argument with the manager, which was by no means professional.
She asked if she could speak with someone else but the office manager said no. Now, Amanda has paid double the amount she had bargained for and hasn’t even received her full treatment. She says that it’s a disgusting crooked business. Hence, she doesn’t recommend South Bay Med Spa Torrance.
South Bay Med Spa Torrance Botched Laser Hair Removal and Canceled the Appointment Without Giving an Explanation
Sandra had come here for laser hair removal for her bikini line. However, the nurse who performed the procedure seemed hung over. The nurse had makeup smeared all around her eyes and her hair was messed up.
Naturally, the nurse botched the procedure and didn’t even laser the top area of the bikini line. Sandra had bought multiple sessions so she had no choice but to come back.
She scheduled her last session 6 weeks before posting her review. At 11 AM, she received a call confirming her appointment for the next day at 9:45 AM. Then, she received another message at 5:30 PM saying that her appointment was no longer available. So, she could only come in at 2:45 PM or 5 PM.
Moreover, they didn’t offer an explanation for this. Sandra shares that she wouldn’t attend her last appointment because the customer service is terrible here.
